Well, what's done is done as far as the issue of it being rushed/incomplete/etc, I'm not sure how many people really expect them to go back and finish it now.

Awesome, if enough people adopt this air of resignation five minutes after release and start paying for DLC, game development will be this AWESOME before long:

1. License a game engine (say gamebryo) or use one you have from a previous game, get some box art done, do a splash screen, menu, an installer and obviously the DRM. (Maybe throw in any content we had lying around, but no pressure, man)
2. Sell the boxed game engine with the branding and skeleton content for 50 bucks a pop
3. Start work on some content - gotta get thet DLC out!
4. ...
5. Profit!

Wow, I wouldn't want to be the sort of idiot who bought into that process! Those suckers!

Oh, wait.

Just because I think it's incomplete in some ways doesn't mean I think it's a bad game. Even if I did, what, I should expect reparations? Maybe I should have done some more research and not just bought it on blind faith.

So there aren't any hi-res textures for the armor in this pack? Did I read that right a few pages ago?

What is the point to buy better weapons when you dont get to play new quest or new game plus?

Why so expensive? For ME 2 was 150 BioPoints. If it will I can buy it.

Two armor sets per class, weapons that scale on level (2h doesn't for some reason, though the high tier one looks like it's BiS) and rings or necklaces for each companion that are pretty much BiS for them roughly making up 30-40 items.

No high res textures, no buy. I won't waste any more of my money on shoddy work Bioware.

New shinies for 5 bucks !

Seriously though Bioware, I do have a complaint.
I found out about this in ranty hate threads before I saw the official announcement !
Please make the announcement more eye catching than the hate threads next time Posted Image

P.S Okay I bought them and I like them. You have my $5 ! Let's not dilly dally with updating these with high res textures now ! I already remodelled your Exiled Prince with after market eye candy. Do you really want the 'definitive' version of all your DLC to be fan made ones ? I reckon you have about 3 days before the community beats you to it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm all for item packs and such things BUT if we're going to pay money for it, then at least make something worth having.
Why would I use any set of armor in this item pack if none of them stack up to the Champion's armor in looks and stats? Granted the weapons and other bits are OK...
I was really excited to see the champions armor designs and I thought Bioware was going in the right direction with the bad-ass look.
Then I get this Carnival Lion outfit that makes my warrior look like a complete idiot? Seems like something from a Japanese fantasy cartoon!
Come on BioWare, you guys need to be the best at making armor sets for your own games! (the fan-made Grey Warden Runic Armor set from Origins is still better than any piece of armor you have come up with to date).
And no high-res textures? Shocking!
I'm really hoping this was a trial run to see how we react and that you will come up with something better in the next set of items...
One thing is for sure, I won't be buying it in a hurry until I see some feedback from others.

Bioware, wake me up when you actually add something to the game.
Keep digging though, rock bottom can't be far away now.

A DLC that has only items, no story, no quests, just items? And it is priced 400 MSP? No, thank you, i dont pay for an only item "DLC".

not gonna buy it I do enjoy playing on DA2 time to time but not often enough to warrant paying £5 for some armour which i am likely never to use (i swear the mass effect armour packs cost less and those were sometimes customisable)

the only DLC packs I am going to purchase for DA2 is story based dlc's.

But the armour is nice but prefer the champion armour

now don get me wrong a bought DA 2 i liked it but seriously people, that is BW, at least make those item pack 160 each like in ME2 DLC item pack because 240 a pack is a litle bit overpriced.

While new loot is appreciated, I think devs' time could have been better spent on fixing that big list of bugs hanging on the Technical Self Help board.

Look, they're very nice-looking items, but this is not how the majority of gamers want their DLC. We want a cool item at the end of a story, as a reward. Why not have a little treasure hunt in a NEW cave, with a new enemy or two? I mean heck, you guys could get a lot more use of these items if they clothed NPCs as enemies, then you got to use them at the end with a few texture changes.

I don't want to sound mean, but after you guys... ahem... dropped the ball on the main game in more areas than one, the DLC had better be *exactly* what we want (and *under*priced) to get us to buy it.

Seriously, the DLC I would want more would be one that added in new content into the main game, and let you re-experience the *specific* areas the improvements had been made to, the advance to the next area changes had been made, while following your save file along for all other changes. For instance, the fact that there's almost nothing you can do to alter the lives of any characters in the game or the city at large. I'm not saying this to be mean, I really *would* rather have a DLC that let me affect characters more, or added more variety to the dungeons in the game.

I want to point out that this DLC really relies entirely on the completionist aspect of a gamer, and that's not the position BioWare should be in with its DLC.

Also, if I were BioWare, I'd skip straight to an expansion, since I don't think any small DLC is gonna satisfy anyone.

Bwaaaaaahahahaha. Alright. Im done. Seriously I'm done. I get it. Why allow players to mod the game when you can charge them 12 percent of the original game price for stuff that's half the quality.

Why allow companions to equip armor when we can just charge the player every time they want to change someones appearence.

Bioware you just lost a customer. Seriously. I hope this blows up in your face and you end up bankrupt.
