I find this pack garbage. It's not like we can't already faceroll our way through, let's give people even more OP equipment!
Yet I'm left wondering why I played it through 3 times already. Must be the mods.

So it is harder to make new textures and meshes. In other words the time and effort spent by Bioware staff justifies selling something like this.

However I would also prefer a story DLC or something else that adds something special to the game.

Even Awakening lasted 20 hours top, I think we'll never see a 30 hour expansion.
Wait, maybe we'll see it, but it'll be called Dragon Age III and sold full price.

I was expecting crappy "story" DLC like Return to Ostagar and Witchunt for DAII, but it seems I have to lower my expectations

this is absurd. this pack should be FREE as a GODDAMN apology to the customers for buying such an incomplete game(da2). instead, charge us $5? get real bioware. i'll just get it from another 'source'.

Risky statement! Brave but not too smart.

Don't like it? Just ignore it and move on.

And saying your getting it from "another source" just makes you look like a total idiot. Bioware dont owe you anything thats optional.

meh i dun care if i get banned or modded, makes no diff to me anymore. i was just doing my weekly rounds of checking on whether there's a new patch/update on new patch, and stumbled across this.

and lo and behold, no patch news but there's new dlc. so, they have time to prepare and release dlc but no time to finish up the patch? pathetic.

and yep, i'm moving on, till next week then.

Imo, no matter how hard you scolding them, EA don't care. They said - Bioware done - some players purchased (like me) - money recieved - repeat cycle.

You know, i wish for opportunity to lock my character's appearance, no matter what he is wearing. Well, like in WarHammer online, for example. Because i really like the appearance of new stuff, but i can't wear them till the end of the game.

This stuff looks nice. I just dont think this sort of DLC is all that appropriate for a single-player RPG, where you try to immerse yourself in the world. Where did Hawke get all this stuff from? One moment he's walking down into a ruin under High Town, <the player buys this, then loads the savegame>, and * poof * - three sets of armour appear in his inventory. Now that's what I call weird. It'd been much better if this stuff appeared along with a quest or three in locations where you could find them. Personally I'd even settle for them being randomly inserted in loot at some appropriate places which are already in the game, but I understand some people would be upset about paying for something they might not find in-game.
I'm not sure this does plop down unceremoniously in your inventory. Perhaps I get a letter from some distant relative leaving it for me, and have it delivered at the door or something - the announcement doesn't say. For some reason I doubt that, though.

I could understand it in an MMO, which is all about grinding for gear, so you can grind more for better gear in more exciting places later. Immersion is less important in those games.

All this said, I made sure I got some of the preorder stuff, and I just might fall for this temptation at some point too. My character's appearance (including gear) is something I care about. It's just that it ruins immersion.

I hope Bioware could consider some less ridiculous way of introducing DLC-gear in the future, than having it appear out of thin air in your backpack.

nice. *ordering more DLC* ^^

btw just installed them. very nice items. love them. great looks. thumbs up & designers
What i also love is the additional lore involved with these items. Kudos.

@some of the b^ching ppl: guys, seriously after so many weeks you are still here. "you can start making sense anytime now" by starting enjoying the game  ;-)

EA/Bioware must love people like you.  I suppose if they released an, 'updated', haircuts DLC next week you'd buy that as well eh?

DA2 was a rush job to keep EA happy over the long and expensive SWKOR, that much I get.  More fool me for buying DA2 based on Biowares reputation alone but some of this DLC,(and future ones I suspect), are a joke.

A quest for the items, depending on what class you are, would be extra nice and would actually make sense. That way we could get some actual content along with appearances a bit of a stat boost.

Yeah I keep wishing for 'appearance slots' to be added for inventory. I kept wearing the rogue Enasalin all the way til endgame because I loved it so much more than the Champion suit.

'Better to look good than to feel good.' That's my motto.

With all the bugs this game released with, some of them absolutely game-breaking, I'm not really sure I could sleep at night if I was the guy who decided "Hey let's release some horse-armoresque paid dlc, even though there's plenty of things left to fix".  Then again, maybe it's easier sleeping on piles of money.

So I'll keep waiting for the next patch - I'm one achievement away from 100%...

Maybe the "Epic" achievement should be renamed?

"Epic Fail - Your Hawke moves in slow motion, but you bought an outfit so you look good doing it."

I think the DLC item packs are actually pretty sweet. The armor, weapons, and accessories are actually pretty powerful, and add tons of bonus. Most even improve with level-ups. This way, you can save coin, and you won't have to worry about companions or your Hawke having bad items. I don't see what everyone is complaining about.

Ah, the good ol' Isabela Friendship bug. Hawke moves like a slug after some of her in and out of group jumps and only the community has fixed it thus far.

Well i havent gotten this DLC yet because my game is scratched (stupid dog lol) but lets all remember that everyone has their own opionon. Maybe Bioware is just trying to buy some time with this so they can get the DLC that you want. Even tho they have alot to go on, to make a really good DLC.

Wasn't this fixed in 1.02?

Yup. But only in the sense you can't get the bug anymore. But it can't remove it if you're already suffering from it.

Yes, but if it has already affected a save game, the only way to fix that save is to manually edit it.

Anyone have any sales numbers for the DLC so far? Would certainly be interesting to see how all the whining corresponds to actual "not buying", as I'm quite positive that it doesn't..

Funny how anyone who has any issues with the game is "whining", while anyone defending the game is a "fanboy".

Chill the **** out, some of u are just jumping to conclusion that there not going to make a expansion continuing the ending understanding whats happening afterwards. Give it time.

this dlc is fine.. its only 5 dollars.. jump the train without a ticket just one time and wallah u got enough money. and the armor looks mad..
