Ahh thanks for the pics :)

Im not keen on the looks of the mages stuff so I think will probably give this a miss.

I'm sure that seeing a handful of people not spend a WHOPPING $5 for items that look good and last most/all the campaign will discourage Bioware from making future item packs. Keep it up guys!

Yes, much better to encourage Bioware to nickel and dime its already enraged fanbase with cosmetic DLC. Bravo (and enjoy your horse armour)!

New item packs for Warriors, Rogies or mages are now available as DLC. You can purchase one class pack for 240 points/$3 or buy all three for 400 points/$5. Each packs contain powerful new weapons and armor for Hawke (per class),  and new items for followers.

These packs are now available for Xbox 360 and PC. Available for Playstation 3 as soon as possible.

You can learn mroe abotu these packs and see some of the new armors on the Dragon Age 2 Add-Ons page.

I'd prefer story DLC over item DLC honestly. If I downloaded these items anyway, they'd be useless by the time Act 2 or 3 rolled around

hold up. do these allow us to customize our companions' armor sets instead of them being stuck with one set?

Here's my album.

Contains the codex, and some of the weapons, armor, and accessories.

Thank you very much :)

If I don't have any "points" how do I get the DLC's for PC? hmm

You buy the points, then use the points to buy the DLC.

It's a stupid system, I know.

But hey, so is selling in-game items for real world cash.

It works for Maple Story...

Buy points here.

hi, it sended me to "resent visited" page.

Click on the link in the original post.
On that page, click on the link for the option you want to buy.
At the bottom of the 'order form' is a link for buying more points.
Click on that and follow the instructions.
After you purchase the points (with real-world cash) you are sent back to the screen to spend those points on whichever choice you originally made.

i'll be buying when i get home. i think it would have been better to package this with some sort of quest dlc like getting cailan's armor in return to ostagar. then, the class you are determines what pieces you find. still, $5 is not that much, it's optional, and i just bought my points an hour ago.

They probably will release another item pack with stuff useful for Act 2 and another one for Act 3

That's so cool. As a child I missed my Barbie and Ken phase. Now I can dress my dolls in an adult game. Sweet.

The "fan base" isn't enraged.

Some fans are, some aren't.

I happen to really like DA2. I am part of the fan base and I have been for over a decade since I first played Baldur's Gate and *my* opinion is just as valid as yours.

The mage armor could be prettier, but the codex entries are sweet. The new weapons are very nice looking, especially Malcom's Honor and Courage.

Hate to tell you this but there are 23 DLCs for dragon age 2 before this, and I am just one away from the complete set, gonna collect them all I tell ya!

On a serious note I am loving the warrior set, it matches up with my Lion of Orlais nicely.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

If this is the beefier DLC we were promised, then it smells a lot like rotten beef.

Ah well, I'll probably buy it anyway at some point just because of Malcom's Honor and Courage or whatever it's called. Though maybe after they announce some story DLC, if that ever happens. (hint hint Bioware)

I have mixed feelings about item DLC. As a PS3 owner I this is the only way I can get this stuff, so I do appreciate that.

As a PC owner, I would like a toolset released.

That said, I am going to pass on this stuff even though it looks interesting. I don't anticipate playing DA2 for very much longer :(

Considering that this DLC is called DRAGON AGE II - ITEM PACK #1, I will not be too surprised about more item packs, and I welcome it, as long as it makes the character looks awesome.

It's completely optional content so I don't get why people are getting so fussed. Don't want it, don't buy it. Why the need to berate the company? I'd prefer story-based DLC as well but this doesn't mean we won't be getting any at a later date.

The prospect of new items and armor sound great to me. I was thinking about replaying the game anyway. Incentive!

looking awesome only goes so far. It doesn't add anything to the story. I want Year 1 DLC where I can work for Athenril/Meeran, where I can romance Athenril, where I can be content with that.

I want an expansion that shows how Hawke disappeared or at least leads up to that point and we can then speculate more.

Most importantly, I want more Merrill.

Awesomeness is good at first, but it quickly becomes shallow and meaningless.

You, sir, want a lot of things to be added.
