" Lead by example? Who said anything about leading? I have no issue with lowering myself to the same standard as everyone else and "whining". You seem to have this odd idea that I somehow think Im any different than everyone else here that ****es pisses and moans about crap on these forums lol. Im going to continue to complain about people complaining over not getting their story DLC yet as long as there are people complaining about it.

I still find it humorous that you thought that I was thinking I was somehow better than anyone here lol. Thats rich. And here's what's even funnier, you're no better than the rest of us either. Shocking isnt it? And I still keep my original stance in leiu of that: Complaining is one thing, but complaining about an item pack because it was released before your story DLC is a complete other. If me saying that is what you consider whining and therefore wrong, then I dont want to be right."

Good thing you don't want to be right. You did accomplish that.Oh thanks for lowering yourself to whine.I'm sure someone appreciates that. Not sure who but someone out there.I want to thank you for setting the standards and enlightening us.Just post a list of what subjects we can broach and what we can say.Or are we all suppose to cut and paste what you say?

yea, Playstation store isnt going to be up until around the end of May.  PSN itself is going to be up within the week though.  Pretty silly if you ask me to bring PSN back up but not the store.  Although, I do understand why they are doing it that way, I still dont agree with it.

This has been one gigantic mess for Sony. If it weren't such a pain for the customers, I'd laugh.

Mess is an understatement lol.  This is literally one of, if not THE biggest information leak/hack in history.  Sony is going to have a hell of a time living that kind of infamy down.

And to think this all started because some guy wanted Linux on his PS3

Please tell me thats not the case lol :pinched:

What a bad idea it is to charge people real $$ for game items that you could of just added to the game without charge. I mean I guess if people will throw their $$ away on this stuff there will be people/companies right behind you picking it up. I am glad I stopped playing this game. I just thought I'd stop back and check to see if EA/Bioware got back on thier game with reasonable decisions & content but I guess not.

Stuff like this is okay for enhancing your gameplay on replays, but seriously....

You get run through the same reused levels fighting the same reused enemies with sparkling new equiment. Sorta like a paint job to help people no notice that the muffler has a problem. This would not have been my first choice of DLC to release. How about new maps to "enhance" replay of an empty city?

If it weren't for the possibility of mass ID theft and fraud, I'd laugh at Sony.

For the sake of the people who unfortunately trusted an inept company like Sony to keep their information secure (I've dealt with Sony on a professional basis enough to confidently say that they are an inept corporation), I hope that the hacks are just in revenge for the OS lockout, and the information is only being copied long enough to scare the crap out of Sony, and then dumped.  Probably a naive hope, but still.

I think the players that are on the ps3 should get if for free.

why's that?

Maybe because the PSN is still down. Not BioWare's fault though so don't expect anything.

Sorry couldn't resist. ;D

One can only surmise that due to other RPG's soon to be released they figured getting some of a market share is better than none hence the release of half a game. Only then working towards charging extra for superfluous pretties for a game that isn't finished.

Ok so it's technically finished in the sense of a beginning, middle, and end, however lacking anything much in between.

Reusing, in quite the obvious way, the same maps over and over again. Sickening.

I supported EA through countless game purchases and am appalled with DA 1/2.

So I politely decline this attempt to nickle and dime me out of my money.

There were far to many I agreed with in this thread to make quoting everyone an unpaid job.

I'll go back to lurk mode now.... thank you.

It's getting better. Now my mage looks like she stepped off the cover of Sgt. Pepper. I kinda like that. Thanks!

Isabela looks a bit crazy with her new dual meat cleavers, but at least my mage no longer wears a bath robe into combat, and here I always though item packs were useless.

Why item packs?
Very simply, these were quite successful in both DAO and ME2 both in terms of sales and also usage data, indicating that the demand is there.  So while we get that a lot of our forum users prefer story content (which we also enjoy, hence also working on that), make no mistake that there is indeed an audience out there that loves to customize their characters as well as do their replays with premium gear, so these have a place in our DLC plan.  And while I would have loved to have us release a story dlc first, see above for why that was not possible.

I know that this is old, and im not sure if someone already said this cause there are so many pages >.< if, so I apologise deeply.

But I just wanted to respond to this, that DAO and ME 2, were fully released games and did not exactly have the same faults as DA 2... DA 2, many feel like was so unbelievably rushed that they get very sick with seeing the same area's over and over again... they also felt like you created this in a hurry so you could squeeze out money.

I personally dont mind these little item DLC packs. I encourage others to pay them as long as the game itself was fun, and felt like they were properly done. With DA 2 however, its just so painfully obvious that it was so rushed, it just doesnt feel complete at all. Therefore I personally do not feel motivated to buy any item DLC, and it pretty much has the opposite effect on me, it makes me disgusted at the company presenting them, only reinforcing the idea that they are milking the Fans of the product for money.

That might not be the case, but I really feel that releasing item DLC for a half done game, (please note that DA O and ME 2 did not feel half done and was generally greeted with more positive feedback.) is a bad move because it only reinforces the idea that the company only wants to milk it for money. I do not understand the logic of saying "Because it had such great success in ME 2 and DA O" DA 2 cannot be compared to the former two in my opinion... if it was any other company besides Bioware, I would have given up on the company. But you guys got a great history of releasing great games and DLC, I wont let you go that easily. :P The next story DLC I will certainly buy because I want this company to flourish and release more DA games and DLC for me to enjoy. But not in the way of how DA 2 went..

I hope it doesnt appear as if im talking out of my ass, and it doesnt go unheard. Im also terribly sorry for ranting like this on one little thing. What ive written, is solely my opinion and if it looks like as if im trying to speak for a whole group then I apologise that was not my intention.

Meh. Why pay EA even MORE money for a game that didn't deliver value in the first place? That would be like rewarding someone who just stole your wallet with a fat check. I guess a sucker is born every minute. EA won't get any more $$$ from me until they repair the disaster they sold.

This is kinda about this DLC but I guess it is more about the post here I have been reading. I bought the item pack, but I am not interested in playing the game again until a story DLC is released, so its there, waiting for another play through.
Still, ... the negitive remakes about DA2 here is astonishing. It isn't like many are well written, or about the subject. Its about why do I keep reading them? lol. Seriously I keep reading the same thing written by different people over and over. Every forum subject, the same comments. Those that bash the game, those that bash the game bashers, and those that bash the game bashers being bashed. I read many that said they wouldn't buy or play this game. O_o Really? No I mean, Really? Perhaps I am not very good at this new math but how can you say a game is really bad if you never played it? How can you say Bioware is only out for YOUR money with this DLC if you don't even own the game? But I keep reading all the post and that is what is so astonishing to me. I think Tom Hanks said it best when he said; "There is no crying in baseball."

^ This. I know it's a waste of time reading all these vain arguments that are as varying as the dungeon and cave maps on DA2. Seriously, we got you the first time around, and yet I read all the hating even though I know for a fact all I'm going to get out of it is a headache. I seriously need to get myself checked out because I'm obviously insane. How can I possibly express how much I actually liked the game and preferred it and expect to be heard in the middle of all this negativity?

Well the pack itself is pretty fun if for the blatant overpowered companion items, but alas my eyes cant deal with the jarring of a non hi-rez option, so will keep my chars from wearing the items untill the update is applied, all in all a nice little cheap pack.

New item packs for Warriors, Rogies or mages are now available as DLC. You can purchase one class pack for 240 points/$3 or buy all three for 400 points/$5. Each packs contain powerful new weapons and armor for Hawke (per class),  and new items for followers.

These packs are now available for Xbox 360 and PC. Available for Playstation 3 as soon as possible.

You can learn more about these packs and see some of the new armors on the Dragon Age 2 Add-Ons page.

One simple question.  Many of the items have several rune slots, I have seen as many as 3 on one item!  I have downloaded and installed and filled every available slot with runes. I then put it into storage at Hawke Estate.

Now, assume I start a new game as poor Hawke and my first access to storage is at Gamlen's House in Lowtown.  Will the dlc for the class I am playing show up in the Special Deliveries box with the other premium content?   And if I have already runed it in a previous game will it still be runed, or do I need to wait to get runes for it all over again?

Love the idea of it, and seems quite reasonable, especially if you buy all 3 paks at once, but would love it even more if it would preserve the runes I have put into it on replay.

How does it look on femHawke ? Do these items evolve or they're good for the first 6 hours of playthrough ?

Quite a few of them evolve, tho not all.  Look for the notation "Improves With Level Up" in the stat box.
