It's completely optional content so I don't get why people are getting so fussed. Don't want it, don't buy it. Why the need to berate the company? I'd prefer story-based DLC as well but this doesn't mean we won't be getting any at a later date.

The prospect of new items and armor sound great to me. I was thinking about replaying the game anyway.   Incentive!

Finally someone that I agree with, I get it that a lot of people did not like DA2, I also think the people that didnt like it have a right to be mad, but they dont have to go to DA2 forums and say how much they didn't like the game everytime they post. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I haven't found any thread where someone didn't say something like:
"I hated DA2"

Anyway, I might buy this DLC's, but there isnt a lot of information about them right now, and I'm not gonna buy them blindly.

Bcoz a lot of ppl feel that they already paid A LOT of money for a game that feels rushed and unfinished. Just look at the re-used maps and some horribly looking npc's.

Now if anyone wants to get a pack of cool-looking stuff he needs to pay more.

There is no Tool Set, no info how or IF they even gonna fix those two mentioned by me problems.

Even with it's flaws I enjoyed playing DA2 and I know that this DLC is optional. However I also feel somehow.... chaeted.

I loved DA2. Still do, but I can recognize the flaws in it that could be fixed easily in either DLC or the next game. I just don't want all DLC to be item DLC.

looking awesome only goes so far. It doesn't add anything to the story. I want Year 1 DLC where I can work for Athenril/Meeran, where I can romance Athenril, where I can be content with that.

I want an expansion that shows how Hawke disappeared or at least leads up to that point and we can then speculate more.

Most importantly, I want more Merrill.

Awesomeness is good at first, but it quickly becomes shallow and meaningless.

You, sir, want a lot of things to be added.

Yeah, maybe so. It doesn't have to come all at once. Really, as long as I get Year 1 and more Merrill, I'll be happy. The expansion doesn't need to come immediately.

I have a question:

If I don't have any "points" how do I get the DLC's for PC? hmm

https://points.biowa...kout/showOffers

Buy points here.

Not that I intended to buy them anyway, but even if I was going to buy points, there's no reasonable way to buy them anyway.

At least, for me anyway.

I refuse to use Screw-You-OverPal

No thanks, because with so much in game armor available and yet not wearable I don't see the point of paying for more. And 5 bucks really with more on the way wow...I mean like how many more item packs 2 or 3 at 5 bucks each putting this type of dlc at 10-15 dollars that's 25% of the cost for the actual game. For new items go figure.....

Oh, I also found many flaws in DA2. Specially me being a mage and the templars not saying a thing about me, that one was gold :P And when I saw the DLC page with more stuff, I felt so happy for a moment, I was thinking: "A brand new DLC with more hours of gameplay"

The fact that there is no story DLC sucks, I'm hoping they make loads of them and a bunch of expansions. I might be wanting people to hate me :?

Already spent enough money and I'm on to other games anyway. DLC is going to have to be a lot more attractive than this to interest me, or else there needs to be a toolset released so that the modders can extend the game's shelf life. But if they're just going to ape Mass Effect, they really have to step up the game.

No thanks, nice looking stuff but no money and I'd rather save my points for story DLC.

The stats are decent, but the armor itself looks a bit clunky and awkward. I'd be willing to buy it for the looks alone if it was sufficiently cool-looking. I will hold out and see what kinds of neat companion outfits we get in the future. And, as always, more DLC with Merrill, please!

More items?! Cause that's what the game needs... If the DLC doesn't have new areas for the content I ain't interested.

I love DA2 and often find myself defending it or otherwise praising what it does right around here. However I cannot support this and won't be purchasing.

The art team, animators and whoever else may have worked on this pack look to have done a great job (although I will never understand the current trend of special/bonus armor that obscures the PC's face), but I would much rather see more time spent adding some extra variety into the game before release or focusing on adding extra armor and weapons to upcoming Quest packs.

The one and only 'Item' pack I bought for ME2 was the Firepower pack. How was that different? Perhaps it wasn't, but for me there is a big difference between a gun that functions quite differently to those already in game and which affects the balance of the combat in the game (but not in an OP way, well mostly) and new designs that will do the same thing as any other top tier gear already there. And this pack is more expensive than that.

Add in the controversy for PC players surrounding the Toolset and it's hard to like that this is the first real post release DLC we get wind of. ME2 at least held of the Alternative App packs for a little while.

Eh, at the end of the day it doesn't effect me, doesn't effect my opinion of the game nor change the fact that I will be the first in line for future DLC that adds (what I consider) whorthwhile content to the game. /rantoff. :P

Can I get some more info on the items before I pay for them? I'd really like to know what they actually are

This DLC actually shows that there won't be any... at least not for free.

Oh my god... the warrior looks like a gaudy statue and the rogue like a walking battering-ram.
Sorry, but unless there is DLC with an actual story available, I'll pass.

Why couldn't this be released as free DLC because it's not like it adds anything significant to the game or just wait and include it in a real addon

This. I would prefer more things to USE THESE ITEMS ON than more items. At this point DA2 has beat me down so much I don't care if you just throw in some more levels using the same ten cut and paste models they have. I'd gladly take a few more trips through the same mansions, caves, and sewers if they would just give me more stuff to fight! Image IPB

While this is nice and dandy, this could have been avoided if the toolset was updated. I'm very disappointed in you Bioware.
