...... wait.. 5 bucks is a mayor waste of your money? OH NOEZ! YOU WONT BE EATING CHOCOLATE! FOR A WEEK!

/facepalm.

seriously..

Indeed, it's nothing if you're employed. Yet a lot of people like to start bringing up rants about value from time to time.

But this game doesn't need this stuff, unless the game plays differently with these weapons and armor then the vanilla one. What it needs is enhanced toolset to support modding comunitty and story related DLCs.
Hell even additional quests DLC would be kind of cool.

Now THAT'S what I would pay for--a DA2 toolset. Not some ... items.

since the items packs are coming -does that means some story-DLC will be on the way sometime soon?

Why couldn't this be released as free DLC because it's not like it adds anything significant to the game or just wait and include it in a real addon

I'd say 1) because it's optional and really doesn't change anything;
            2) because BioWare or EA need more money.
Take your pick.

speaking of EA, I have a question. How can people blame EA for DA2 being an excuse for money when EA was part of DA:O development and that took 5 years to make? I'd like some light to be shed on this so I can understand better, because people say EA ruined the DA series. They were instrumental it seems in it even beginning

Indeed. A toolset and iso view I would pay $5 for, maybe.

EA bought Bioware when DAO was almost complete, it was ment to come out a year before it's relase daste but it was delayed fdor the console ports so the main team worked on the dlc and expansion.

DA2 needs more story content. I don't want to play dress up with Hawke, I want Hawke to actually matter for once. I don't mean to derail the topic, but the Kirkwall killer impacted the plot more than Hawke did. The freaking Kirkwall killer of all people!

Maybe because the PSN is still down. Not BioWare's fault though so don't expect anything.

honestly i'm not seeing the point of all the complaining. stat info is one thing but to gripe over price and what has you when other bundle packs on other games offer less and if i'm not mistaken cost more? come on ppls lets rethink this 5 bucks thing. and furthermore the dlc's are in the works i know alot of us have gobbled up most of the game and sucked its marrow 5 or more times BUT stuff takes time and i am personally willing to wait. OH AND ENJOY MY UBBER EXPENSIVE 5 DOLLA CAUSE IT LOOKS SO GOOD DLC XD

Looks alright but why are they just now announcing this

I assume because they just finished it, got it certified by Microsoft and Sony, and because it's a Tuesday, which is when new content becomes available on XBox marketplace.

Champion armor still has a higher rating. Should be ok for act 1 and 2. However, I'm the type of guy that argues that, if I'm paying real money, it better be the best armor in the game. Because if it isn't, then it's more about fashion.

Some do. The nifty Rogue cutlass-daggers and companion items for example.

As I undersd this, the publisher, which is EA in this case, funds the company it bought and has right to put release dates as it pleases. Also the ublisher has right to cut, enhance funding if it pleases.

I'm not sure, but it is how I think the publisher and developer works.

@Chris, possible cosmetic issue report:  double check if they are high-res textures included for the pc version.
=> the fugitive mage robe which i am just trying in a current playthrough looks little lower res than the rest of the game. im not 100% sure though, thus not an extensive test..

//DA2running v1.02, high res pack installed, anisotropic 8x, alias off, 1680x1050
//ati 58xx, newest dirvers, win7 enterprise, 8gb ram, raid0 2TB

Hahaha, nice april fool's day joke! Oh wait, it's April 26... Seriously though what makes you think I'm going to pay even more for that half finished game of yours? Go finish the friggin' game already instead of making us spend more for less!
