I'm not sure whether to be surprised or saddened at the level of vitriol gushing forth over this, in both directions.
Personally, I consider this kind of thing (namely, denying your fanbase access to modding resources whilst releasing quick/cheap-to-make appearance packs) a little suspect, and I worry about the implications for more substantial dlc. Not because, y'know, I think patches, maps or quest-based dlc is in some way mutually exclusive with packs like this, more because if these are considerably cheaper to make (which I'm lead to believe they are) and sell like hot cakes, why bother with something far less profitable?
For the record, I'm not a massive fan of paid-for content like this. I haven't been since, I don't know. Horse armour? If other people are - and clearly other people
are - more power to them. That doesn't make me a bitter, hate filled husk incapable of enjoyment any more than it makes people who buy it blind.
(I don't envy warriors, though. I mean,
wow. No wonder Orlais invades other countries so much, it's probably the only way to get them to stop laughing at their military)

I don't mind that people hate the game, fine, uninstall it. But some people feel the need to say over and over how much they hate the game in every single thread.
I'm not sure how a thread announcing the release of an item-pack dlc triggering comments regarding the value of item-pack dlc is particularly unexpected. It's not as if every criticism of the item pack stems from a seething hatred of all things DA2 that cannot be quenched, no matter how frequently it seems to be attributed to that.
