They already said ME doesn't end with ME3. Only Shepard's story. Could be a new series without Shepard. Although I wouldn't expect it soon.

Relax, there is still room for few more links at the bottom of the GI Hub menu.
I belive the last entry will be the most mind-blowing and suprising.
They must have saved the best info for the last entry, it just seems to make sense.
Hope so =/

Good interview. Though I still can't help but feel that they may not have had such a hard time making the import stuff work if they had really designed it as a proper trilogy and weren't so concerned about making sure players could come into the fray at any time and that each game stood on it's own so much. If the games were more dependent on each other and better connected, then surely they would be easier to make. I guess the main issue is that with the majority of today's gamers it would almost be development suicide to expect them all to start from the beginning and to build games that really need the others to work. I still think that it's a shame and that the series really stopped meeting its true potential because of it.

^ You can't say that for sure until you actually play ME3. Besides doing so would make it impossible to port to PS3.

Damn good interview that actually puts into perspective just how ambitious Mass Effect really is and how much BioWare have been able to accomplish with this IP in just six years. It's easy to take them for granted when all we see is the end result. I'm glad Casey found his way to BioWare and look forward to their future projects *cough*jadeempire2*cough*.

I give props to Casey and the Docs for making easily one of my favorite game franchises ever. Love the universe, love the games, and even enjoy the books.

I think the fact the Mass Effect triolgy allows for you to carry your personal universe to one game to the other is the main reason I love it so much. It's a shame for them to dismiss the idea of doing it again.
I think it was probably the most innovative and ground breaking innovation in video gaming in the last ten years.

Interesting interview. Didn't know Casey started out as Engineer of all things.

Edit: Also liked that Wrex poster for ME1.
Wrex:"Buy this game or I'll kill you!"
