Physical force effects like Telekinetic Burst seem to do absolutely nothing to spiders or shades.
But what about elemental force effects? Fire force effects seem to do nothing, even aesthetically.
Are all force effects ineffectual against non-humanoid enemies?

Gravitic Ring works on everything as far as I know, but it isn't a force effect so that isn't really relative.
I just notices that dogs are immune to to force effects too. Is there ANYTHING in this game that wasn't half-assed?
In Origins, they at least made non-humanoid enemies collapse or fall over from knockback effects like Fireball--rather just not bothering to script any effect at all.

Not to mention that tossing said guys across the room doesn't so much as scratch their knees.
There is no excuse for this lazy bullcrap in this day and age. Especially from the company who made Mass Effect 2, which had great physics!

I'd say the dogs falling over but not moving in DAO were what was "half-assed." DA2's implementation is more like "zero-assed."

Well, having 8 legs does help stability I think.

Does it also make you flame retardant?
(I know fire does damage, but the elemental force effect (setting them aflame) is ignored!)

Not to mention sticky legs that would help them stick to the floor just like a wall.
But if they're immune to catching fire, then BS.

Even then, why are dogs immune to physical force effects?

I suspect that it's because of the difficulty setting. Things are wonky on Nightmare.

Uh no.
They have no effect on any setting.
