when the Arrival DLC was out i started playing ME1 over again in order to make a new storyline for the ME2 sequel and also in order to keep a fresher career ready for import for ME3.

i'm not some kinda person who has no idea about searching, or about how things work in ME2 generally.
it's the 8th time i manage to finish ME2.

BUT i came up with a very wierd problem and im here to ask for your help and/or advise.

-male Shepard (imported from ME1 savegame)

-paragon path

-im at the suicide mission

-all squad members reqruited (along with DLC characters)

-all squad members are loyal

-finished all DLC

-finished all main and side missions

-romance: single (i dicided to turn everyone down cos I chose to wait for Liara, Jack sais F**K YOY< Tali was like, only friend? , and Miranda was like ok we take it proffecional, Kelly was out of interest in this campaign, in Shadow Broker DLC i reminded Liara that Shepard would wait for her. )

-all ship, weapon, armor, amp and biotics upgrades are done

-powers:
Heightened Adrenaline Rush,
Heavy Concussive Shot,
Heavy Disruptor Ammo,
Rank 1 Incendiary Ammo,
Commando,
Heavy Fortification

BUT WHENEVER I PLAY THE MISSION THROUGH I END UP WITH 1 DEAD SQUAD MEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!

part 3
took Zaed and Grunt and left everyone else guard the entrance
chose to destroy the keeper

i tried again, different combo:
part 1
tech: Legion
leader: Miranda
part 2
biotic: Samara
leader Miranda
extractor: Jacob
part 3
took Zaed and Grunt (again) and left everyone else guard the entrance
chose to destroy the keeper

___________ Mordin died

i tried AGAIN, different combo:
part 1
tech: Tali
leader: Miranda
part 2
biotic: Samara
leader Garrus
extractor: Mordin
part 3
took Zaed and Grunt (again) and left everyone else guard the entrance
chose to destroy the keeper

___________ Tali died (again)





i don't understand whats wrong.

please help!!! i feel like im stuck to some idioticy. been playing all day through and im too tired to think of something else...!
what the hell am i missing?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED ALL SQUAD and ship MEMBERS ALIVE!!

Well, Zaeed and Grunt (and Garrus) are THE best defenders available. Leave them to defend the entrance, and take squishier guys like Mordin/Tali (I usually take Thane and Miranda).

I think that simply switching one of them with another squadmate will tip the balance. You don't have to leave both of them behind.

interesting point of view.
i didnt know taking Grunt and Zaeed would effect THAT much their defense.
thnx for the tip, im going to take the suicide mission over again (stupid me didn't save the game while playing through with Samara..)

nice it was actually true!!
in the end i took Mordin and Thane with me and everyone survived!!
hooray!!! Now waiting for ME3 :X
