I wouldn't have as much of a problem with Jacob's dislike of assassins if it wasn't just mentioned in passing once and then never brought up again.

Jacob's a soldier, of course there's killing involved. He's just not an assasin and he doesn't kill Civilians like an assasin would. I bet if Zaeed was an on disc character Jacob would have a problem with him too especilly since he wants to let Civilians die to kill someone. being a soldier doesn't make him a hypocrite for not liking Assasin's.

True, but a soldier is governed bya  military while an assasin is governed by money or service. Jacob says so "I'm loyal to more than just my next pay check" it's a valid point and not hypocritical in any sense.
