XD I don't really want something frilly... just something that's black but still shows some... details. Hence the shiny silk.

Sounds like you'd rather be looking at a rudely shaped Turnip than silk undies rofl.

Should be simple enough to reskin.

I can't wait til I'm taking 3d modeling next semester, so I can finally learn how to do stuff myself!

For something like this you probably don't need to do any 3D editing. You'll need to dig up the default "nude male" texture map in the resource ERFs, extract it, use an image editing program of some sort to blacken and ensilken the undies, and then you can put the image file into your override directory and it should get picked up and used by the game (don't change the filename). Should in theory, at any rate - I haven't tried something like this before myself. The image will in all probability be in .dds format, which some image editing software can't handle. You may need to shop around.

There may also be a specular map for the nude skin, if you want to make the silk undies extra glossy. :)

Haha thanks. I do have Photoshop, so I'll see what I can do. I have a bit of texturing experience, but not much.

Alright. I've no idea when I'll be able to put some time into it... maybe today. School is killing me.

very much needed. the default underwear, although realistic, is incredibly ugly. And somewhat, it reminds me of japan.

Fundoshi? Not quite the same but I get what you mean. It reminds me of the male undies in Soul Calibur III, which I thought were kind of attractive. I think it's a texture issue, though. Also, I'm not sure underwear like that is realistic for the setting.

It's okay, Brian, we don't judge here...

Bear in mind that the overall shape of the underwear is actually sculpted into the model, so texture changes alone can only go so far. You wouldn't be able to put him in boxers, for example, or a tiny little G-string.

Also, currently all male humans use the same default nude body model. So you won't just put Alistair in silky briefs, every male human in all of Fereldan will also be in that style. Giving Alistair a unique model would require a bunch more work that I'm not sure where to start on. Maybe something to consider as a future project if you're so inclined.

I didn't intend for it to be for just Alistair, but thanks. I wonder, is it possible to make underwear items?

I would think it'd be possible. I'm not too sure how to add new meshes/textures into the toolset quite yet though. Should be possible, can't wait until there's a tutorial for it :3

I believe it has been said that the tools for that still need to be released.

Medieval historical underwear (braies, chemise,
petticoats) was definitely different from what we see in the game and it
was mainly white (colors were expensive and often not healthy in dark ages),
