The Maker made all mages to be tranquil to service his faithful Templars who wore traditional templar armor at the time but some mages broke free and made the others free. They were originally slaves to service the templars (in many ways....) who were formed before (click the link for their history on the DA wikia) The Chantry got hold of them. The Templar order formed when The Maker commanded it to be so. As reward for his faithful servants. He made tranquil mages (they were a race) who would do whatever the templar wanted them to do after the templar came back from a long day of monster killing. Did you really expect The Maker to just let the templars have nagging wives? The Maker is called a loving god for a reason and that's because he understood the need of men - expecially that of his faithful templars. So when the templar came back from a long day of monster slaying, he could tell his tranquil mage wife to magically cook him up some food, go "lay" down with him or be his footstall.

Then The Chantry got hold of The Templars. The Templars died down in power and now mages are free. Support mage tranquilling and the restoration of the templar order in DA3.

Less lyrium in the beer please!.

The chantry is Evil:"The Chantry got hold of them" Then why people QQ about Anders doing a favor to the templars..

Bioware should allow us to blow up chantries, is only fair to the poor templars that need half idiots Tranquils to reproduce, who needs to have an inteligent conversation anyway.

I am happy with the end, the templars died!

No one needs The Chantry. The Real life Templars were killed by the Church and the DA Templars will be killed by The Chantry. Templars don't need any Chantry, they're a building themselves that The Maker has constructed and they know The Maker's teachings by heart, Andraste was a wh*re who claimed she was in a relationship with The Maker and The Chantry formed from her.

The Templars formed when The Maker commanded it in 1195 TE or 1:1 Divine but they were enslaved by The Chantry in 1:3 Divine and forcefully fed lyrium by The Seekers to make them never speak the truth of The Maker. Originally there were 12 Templars, they were mighty warriors who accomplished greatness in the land and even destroyed an Old God by praying to The Maker. They also defeated a great giant demon who would have destroyed the world if it weren't for The Templars stopping it.

How did The Mighty Templars fall to The Seekers you ask? They fell when their tranquil wives were commanded by blood mages (tranquil mages who archdemons freed) to poison the Templars' foods to make them weak. That's when The Seekers came, enslaved them and forced them to train new Templars.

That's when The Maker made it that mages would forever be cursed and placed them under control of The Chantry (who he would also destroy but not just yet for he had uses for it).

The last prophet of The Maker (Daniel Galahad) tried to free The Templars and killed many Seekers in the progress but was felled by blood mages and their demonic magic, he was ripped apart and his soul was to be taken by demons but The Maker saved his soul. In 9:99 Dragon, Daniel Galahad will return to destroy The Chantry (who will rebuild after the events of DA2), mages, blood mages and free The Templars. The Maker will then return (he'll send down an essence of himself to the world of Thedas) when this duty is finished and a time of everlasting peace will begin where Templars will no longer battle and will forever have their tranquil mage wives satisfying their needs.

The Templars will become schoolers and The Maker will tell them all the secrets of the universe and they will became almost like he. Then in God Age 7:77 - all Templars will turn into spirits and leave the world and live forever with The Maker beyond the universe. The tranquil mage wives will be left behind and will fall prey to the wild animals and then nature will take over Thedas and it shall rule with The Maker's blessing.

First, what kind of cumbayaa is that? And second, OP has no clue about the game lore it seems, doesn't know how the templars were formed or the Chantry. But then again, since it's just some cumbayaa, it doesn't matter.

Click the "before" link. Templars formed by themselves and then The Chantry got ahold of them. That link leads to the official DA wikia.

This is the fan creation sections right? A man can rearrange the game lore. After all, Bioware said it was OUR game lol.

Um, shouldn't this be in the GD forum? Don't see how it relates to modding in any way, shape or form.

You might get a better reception/response if you actually wrote your fic, then posted in in one of the fanfic threads. Fishing for idea approval (as it appears) in a forum made up predominantly of modders (and mod requests) might not be the best place/way of going about it.

But you didn't post a story.  You posted a post, as you.  You've even modified your OP (after it was responded to, bad form old chap) to quote other posts.  That's not a story, it's "general discussion".

Mages existed before the Templars -- the mages that ruled Tvinter brought about the revolt lead by Andraste, which resulted eventually in the Chantry and the Templars.

I hate that red hair bard. She was responsible for The Templar's fall as well but The Maker got her in the end.

No, this isn't trolling. I took DA lore and rewrote it. SHOCKING!!! Call the police!

Hate is such a strong word. She wasn't responsible for anything other than helping end the last Blight.
Rewriting Thedas history is fine, the trolling part is continually throwing it in peoples faces, none of which agree with your "rewrite".

Fan fiction.

I am an avid fanfiction writer.

Writing Fan-Fiction means you're writing within the confines and already set rules of an existing fictional universe, made by someone else. If I write outside those rules, I never re-write what happened like it's better or fact, I write around it, I make it fit; so it makes sense according to the universe I'm writing for.

Completely re-writing another author's hard work isn't fan-fiction. <_<
