Just wondering if these are being worked on?

loving the mods so far btw

If a Toolset ever happens and the modders still exist, then that sounds likely. If not...:/

I'm not sure. I know that we can inject custom items, and we can run custom scripts. That may be all that's required for a (very) limited UDK.

However, any decent UI would use a dialogue, and that's something we can't do without an updated toolset.

UDK was and is one of the best Mods ever released. And it's one of the main reasons why I am PRAYING for a toolset release in the upcoming months.

I'd say its unlikely they would update the toolset. Why would they do that when they can just sell you cheaply produced content like item packs?

Oh god, they're even invading the modding board now?

Leave, please.

Because it's neither valid nor fair.

BioWare have stated on numerous occasions that community modding increases DLC sales.

That item pack is something that we can already do very easily.

I can fully understand how community modding helps to increase the sales of story DLC by helping keep interest in the game but helping them shift crappy item packs i doubt it

I'm inclined to agree (though I disagree with the characterization of the item pack as "crappy"). But that doesn't change the fact that nothing is stopping us as modders from releasing our own crappy item packs.

They dont come in high res textures so they look crap in comparison to the rest of the game.
Not quite as crap for console players i guess:whistle:

I haven't seen the rogue or mage armors in-game yet, but the warrior sets are just as high-res as everything else in the game. It's the weapons that upset me, but low-res textures plague all the bonus weapons, like Might of the Sten and Adder of Antiva.

i feel the same about the Winter Forge...let me tailor my weapons and armor to exactly what i wanted....hopefully a DA2 toolset will allow both of us to be happier with our games

I'm not at all happy with the default material tints. That should be my next project.

Oh how I loved The Winter Forge - the ability to tailor the look of my whole party was brilliant.

As far as TWF is concerned, I'd say an adaptation (more of a rewrite) for DA2 is pretty unlikely. :?
DA2 left me unimpressed and uninspired to say the least, so the odds of me releasing an adapted version are nil. However, the whole source was released a few months ago so someone else may decide to work on an DA2 version (provided BioWare releases a toolset) but that's about it. Also, even if someone did work on a DA2 version, several parts of TWF may prove either hard or impossible to adapt, and may need to be completely reworked. I'm thinking about anything using the modded craft interface since DA2 is completely different from DAO in that respect.

What if Bioware never releases a toolset, would you be disappointed?

This, and it's so sad couse this game really needs a modtool, but whit this many bugs we may never see a tool they need to use the time on patches for the xbox/ps3 users :(

not to pester a modder, who does great things for free for all of us, but surely if they release a toolset then clever people like yourself can make DA2 a better game
