My wife and I will pre-order ME3 because we're very happy with that series and its direction so far.

We will not pre-order DA3 because we're very disappointed with DA2 and the new direction of the series.

To each his/her own, but just because one game may have fallen short of expectations and Bioware's standard for quality, doesn't mean every game produced by them has.

I will pre-order ME3's Super ultra collector's edition. DA3... I'll wait 'till the game costs less than 5€ on Steam

More than likely not. And I won't be buying and DLC either.

Is this really a topic? I can understand someone not preordering another Dragon Age game, but a Bioware game? Their games tend to have different teams involved in their creation, let alone lead designers.

Oh, and wasn't Mike Laidlaw involved in Mass Effect to some extent? All this comparing DA to ME is ridiculous. Actually, complaining about this game is ridiculous. This "constructive critisism" is nothing but a bunch of uptight, whiny fans that didn't get something that they got before. Bioware is going to make games how they want to make them. The consumer doesn't matter unless they stop buying them. So instead of whining how you're not going to buy/preorder another Bioware game, actually do it. Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying ME3 this winter and DA3 when it comes in a year and a half.

Were the games made in different cities/countries?

Consumers are already not buying DA2...you can find new copies in european retailers for less than 11 euros (16 USD). Nevermind second-hand copies in bargain bins.

In the 7th week of sales, DA:O was selling 10x more than DA2. I think that speaks for itself.

Consumers don't matter ...until they do. Ignore them at your own peril.

No my confidence in Bioware has been broken, until I see another game from them come out such as ME3 that proves to have value I remain skeptical.

If DA3 1) let's me play as my Warden with Morrigan as companion, and offers a true follow up to what happens to them after WH - yes I will preorder. If not - no chance!

I think its rather disputable if you should preorder games in general. It's not like next years car model with all kinds of warranties attached. If a game turns out to be crap, it will be crap and there's nothing that can be done about it other than to moan a little.

I learned that the hard way some years back and, hell, no - I don't advance 60+ for a product I haven't seen yet.

Im in this mind.   ME3 Collectors Edition is a must for me.   For DA3,  Im going to need a decent amount of convincing first.

Not just due to the game, but additionally due to the way the game was dispactched and many retailers were having problems with the SE.   Several were the retailers own fault, but Bioware clearly didnt do a great job with communication.  When I spoke to the Devs they simply stated they were investigating and spending a very long time doing it.  In the end it was left to me and another forum member to resolve the Play.com issue by ourselves!

I might pre-order ME3, since I know what I'm getting.

DA3 - more conflicted since I love their writing team and I think they're a lot gutsier in tackling non-mainstream issues in their games, and they don't really introduce big questions without trying to deal with them (lookin' at you, Shepard's death). Unfortunately, the actual *game* I got with DA2 wasn't really something I found all that memorable or enjoyable.
And I seriously hope we don't see another Signature Edition snafu.

I used to like them as well. I am of the mind to pre-order ME3 because I have enjoyed ME2 which was free with DA2 (that was the best part). I am just sorry I didn't play this great game sooner. I am now playing ME1 and then I will ME2 to set it up for ME3.

However, ME2 had a great story line and plot unlike DA2.

Yes, I will definitely pre-order the next Bioware game and the next Dragon Age game should there be one. Did I love DA2? No, not really and I consider it Bioware's worst game since Neverwinter Nights. But Bioware's "bad" games stand head and shoulders above what most other companies produce and I give them credit for trying something new for DA2. And it wasn't until the big event in Act 3 that it actually clicked with me and I understood how different it actually was.

I'll wait a couple months and read reviews before I buy any more Bioware games. DA2 proved to me that they are just another money hungry entity of EA. Bioware is no longer the company that produced great games like BG2. So I won't buy another title from them with out first reading credible reviews.

NO. I will wait a few months to 4 and see what others think and look at at game tape, also will see where in the hell they take a story that is broken now.

Wow, I seem to be in the majority for once. ME3, yes, all future Bioware titles get the wait-and-see treatment. I don't mind waiting a year for less bugs and less nickel-and-diming (and a better price). And honestly, the way things seem to be going, the games might just suck if they're all on the same fast track that DA2 was.

I might buy a used copy of ME3 when it's out. But after DA2, I wouldn't even install a copy of DA3 if I got it for free.
