Will anyone pre-order from Bioware again?

Now that was a sequel done correctly, as for the DA series, I am afraid I am done with it, I no longer have any interest in the game or any of its DLCs.

As soon as TOR's available for pre-order.
And again as soon as DA3's available for pre-order, should there be a DA3.

I admit it, I bought DA2 because of DA:O...
Yup. That's the usual mistake.
I bought DA2 because I enjoyed the Demo and the characters. Much less disappointment for me.
...and I could not wait to play it. As a result, I was in for some disappointment as the majority posts can attest to. The only positive experience I had in spending the 60.00 was that I was able to receive Mass Effect 2 for free which I am playing now. Now that is a sequel done correctly.
Actually, I thought it, too, was on the low-par end of BioWare games. ME1 was much better for me, but ME2 was pretty good. Just not super-good.
Anyway, I will not ever pre-order anything from Bioware again as I would probably get burned by them. They have lost a dedicated customer for Dragon Age.
Have they? Really? If they say they've fixed things for DA3, are you going to wait a month after it comes out to make sure you have a demo? My guess is 'No.' You may not pre-order it, but if they speak the words you want to hear, you'll buy it anyways.
The smart move is to play the demo first, make sure you like the game, and then wait a month for reviews to come out. Price might even go down.
I only pre-order games I know I have a high chance of liking. The only company I blindly pre-order things from is Valve, and that's because they haven't made a crap game yet. Mostly because they take 3+ years to make games.
So, good for you. You've learned your lesson!

TOR? LOL. And people think DA2 was a waste of money.

Anything Dragon Age, on the other hand, I'll try before I buy.

If you preorder ANY game, you deserve to be deceived by the hype.
I actually preordered the game becuase I loved the first game. While details leaked out, I was still hopeful that at least the spirit of the original would remain intact and I would similarly enjoy the sequel.
I'll now never underestimate a company's ability to eff up something that was fine the way it was.

If there's a DA3, imma wait for it to come out and for a pile of reviews before I consider buying it (I WILL be paying close attention to it's development, tho).

I preordered DA2, and thankfully the demo saved me from throwing away another $60.
I learned my lesson, I won't preorder anymore Bioware games, not so long as they're trying to sell bad action games and passing them off as RPGs. They might've had a chance if they didn't keep claiming these things were RPGs, but if they're going to lie to me about it, I'll wait for the forum reactions. Especially since the gaming press has proven pretty biased.

I preordered ME2 and got a really bad Gears of War clone instead of the RPG I was expecting.

This. Well except for the saving of 60 bucks, the demo didn't seem sooo bad at the time. Of course they didn't send you through the same freaking cave 30 times in the demo.

I don't care about TOR, and I'm not going anywhere near a hypothetical DA3 unless the regular peoples' reviews are good.

I kind of hope they tone down or stop with the preorder bonuses, I don't really like having to choose whether to order on faith to get extra stuff or make a more informed decision and miss out.

I have already started paying on my ME3 pre-order and am waiting for the special edition to be announced so I can switch my order over to that.

ToR I never had any intention of playing right from the very start - best to let it mature for a little while before jumping in.
But ME3? Words cannot express how pumped I am for it, and I'll be ordering the Collector's Edition as soon as I can.

How did people get burned on DA2?
Two patches and over a month after release and some of us still can't legally play our pre-ordered game because of the DRM issues?
Yeah, I guess Bio didn't discuss ahead of time how they were planning to have a DRM screwup.
Ooh, sarcasm! That's original! /Dr.Horrible
The point stands though. There's little point pre-ordering games if you can't play them when they're officially released.
And considering this was my first pre-order ever, after over 15 years of gaming, you could say this has given me second thoughts to pre-ordering again. Not just from Bioware.
