Funny, fans are fixing the developer's work. No one tells me BioWare couldn't do this themselves, because they damn well could.

I truly thought I'd die withouut seeing it. At least that makes me happy. What would make me really happy is to see it distributed via Xbox Live.

Just like how fans fixed the ugly Garrus face texture in the PC version.

Could this guy fill us in on how he solved the problem? I've often heard it would require patching ME1, that is, fixing ME1 and THEN fixing ME2, which basically means playing through the two games again for the changes to take effect.

That is pretty awesome =O

... I wonder if the other missing dialogue can be restored as well.

I still don't see why BW didn't take the time to patch both games in order to fix this glitch. It can't take up THAT much time from ME3 development.

EDIT: haha your sarcasm is palpable Pwener.

He said he was going to post the procedure tomorrow.

Still, I can't help but find it ironic that he was able to fix this when the devs said it would be too much effort on their part. :P

Its too bad that from the looks of one of the ME3 interviews, the Renegade event is being taken as canon and it'll be a case of Conrad having been confused if you are paragon.

Thats what it seemed like what they're doing from what the interview said.

Yup, so even if you do manage to fix this in your ME2, ME3 will still assume the Renegade route. The beauty of unofficial patches...

I guess that will explain why Cerberus is after you, even if you decided to try and help them out on every matter. :P

Apparently so -- instead of going back and fixing it.

Now, I admit I'm glad they're at least doing something about it, but this is only a good solution, not a better solution. A better solution would be to go back to the source of the problem and take the necessary corrective measures.

Don't blame Bioware or EA for this....Blame Microsoft for sitting on this and making the jump though hopes to do anything newto ME1.

I could see Bioware preemptively recording some extra Verner dialogue. They know how good their fans are at playing around with the settings in their games by now. Even if they didn't I doubt they've gotten down to recording Verner's conversations anyway since he's a minor character. They could squeeze this in with no real trouble.

If the ME team fixed any import bugs or quest bugs I would be amazed.

They'll be building igloos in hell before that happens, but it's nice to know it can be fixed.  I still hope they run w/ the glitch in ME3.

This is standard EA M.O. They release patches for a few month(s) while the game's new and then leave it to rot soon after.

If only we could get the patch support Valve and Blizzard provide. *sigh*

So can this Fix be applied to a current playthrough (based on a ME1 Import) and it'll correct the Paragon Conrad scene, or does it have to be applied first and then you have to create a new ME1 Import playthrough in order for the scene to correct itself?

Can be applied to any ME2 save (obviously, before talking to that asari).
