Yeah that would be real fun, my buddy can sit there and watch while I listen to the dialog and pick my responses(and sometimes reload a save and do it again). Sounds like a about as much fun as a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. ME3 should stay single player. If they want to do a co-op game on the franchise fine, but not on ME3.

multiplayer dialogue actually can work. People forget Bioware used to make rpg's with multiplayer. I find it odd for people to be against this. I mean I can understand it not being wanted in ME3 but some future project in the ME IP why not? PnP are multiplayer games. You never play by yourself BG1,2 and Neverwinter Nights pulled it off. If a future Mass Effect game can be just as good then why not?

Thus why I said, "If they want to do a co-op game on the franchise fine, but not on ME3." BG1 and 2 not so much, even though it was there, it wasn't a good coop experience generally speaking, NWN yeah I know, but that was usually over the internet, some such. The Old Republic is less of a RPG , it's an MMO for crying out loud. I'd rather they'd have kept KOTOR single as well.

As far as Pen and Paper I am aware of that as well considering I've been doing that for over 30 years now.

@ grey ranger, Look I understand your concern and of course the way you present it makes is sound extra lame. I also understand that you have no reason to think creatively about it since you are not interested in such a feature. which of course would not be obligatory or the only way to play.
Like i said before, I like ME series so much that even if they did do it like that where you can just watch the dialog im ok with coz i get to play the other characters and their powers at will and in a dynamic fashion.

yea I agree whole heartedly that it is not necessary to implement it now. but if ANYONE can do it. it would be Bioware like you said. I think people are just very  afraid of ME3 being a disappoint ment.

It's not just that I don't care for the feature, it's also that I'd rather they didn't spend the money/man hours to develop it. I'd much rather the programming time be spent improving the basic game play/storyline rather than spent on something that not already in the engine.

I don't want them to divert any resources from single-player experience to co-op or any kind of multiplayer thing I won't even ever use.

This plus it just wastes more time, im already having difficult time waiting till next march...

i am scared about co-op because single player turned co-op games usually turned crap, just look at resident evil 5 that was a great game from 1-3. Then 4 and 5 changed the whole series into action games. But 5 was worse as they added co-op and fast running talking zombies wielding weapons.

I love the series but i found it more boring with other people as they tend to slow me down or kill me using grenades.

i think mass effect will be the same in this case of Co-op as the game is meant for single player.

I still intend to play it but i may play alone and still try co op
