It was a toss up between Miranda and Liara. I think Miranda is the more interesting and complex character. Also, Liara is the Shadow Broker. She's has so much power in that role. Why follow Shepard around?

Also, just found out ME3 got pushed back. Hope it really is for polish time, and not just a delay for sales purposes. Or even worse, to shoe-horn in some kind of multiplayer. I wouldn't put that past EA.

I'm not really sure I want any squadmate to return as a "permanent" character if that gets in the way of the story or logic. Personally I'd like Wrex but IMHO he's more useful to Shepard leading the Krogan instead of following Shepard around.  The same goes for Liara and some of my other favorite characters ....

Given my thoughts about story / usefulness in the fight / logic / etc. I want:

1. Miranda
2. Kasumi
3. Grunt
4. Garrus
5. Jack
