When the question is 'what type of paring is popular in fanfiction?' I'm not sure whether the extra information is relevant. I can tell you that Fem!Warden/Alistiar, Lady Hawke/Anders, and Lady Hawke/Fenris make up the bulk of those heterosexual stories.

Which gender the supposed main character has seems like it is relevant. It is told from their perspective most of the time after all.

Edit: A het story told from a female or male perspective would have different audiences.

No. Ignore that. There's gen_fem_warden, and there's also the specific warden last names.

For example: A story where Morrigan and Sten have sex while Alistiar and Amell watch will it tagged het, morrigan, sten, alistiar, amell.

I don't think we can say that with any accuracy. The ff I've read might have Hawke/Warden as the most common POV, but that's not the same as the majority of stories being written from their POV.

I've seen quite a few stories written from non-Hawke/Warden POV, even when they involve Hawke or the Warden.
