I'm sure we all know how the Alliance squadmates could originally be romanced by either a male or female Shepard. It ended up being cut from the final game but the files are still there.

Many of us want that back.

We would like to see the Kaidan and Ashley romanceable by both genders. We liked the dialouge and delivery and we want it back for ME3.

Kaidan and Ashley are bad choices for S/S romances. One or the other has to be dead. You'd just be limiting the amount of conveniently accessible same sex content if you used Ashley/Kaidan.

It's better to use a new character or a pre-existing character whose survival is ensured. James Sanders seems like the obvious choice for the M/M romance that Mass Effect has been lacking.

I agree with this one but I do understand how quite a few people want same sex relations but in Mass Effect shepherd has shown no signs of it apart from with ascari.

The only thing i can imagine will happen is that they might do the opposite to the ascari and create an all male race to enable you to have male relations which is possible they have said their is going to be some more races in ME3

Uuuh, while I do disagree with the OP, not showing signs of homosexuality does not disprove homosexuality.
It's not like gays in real life just walk around on the streets doing pelvis thrusts you know? You don't have to show signs of your sexuality all the time.

Ha. Very true, well unless I'm very drunk:?

My gaydar always pings at Femshep, I blame the walk. Then again sleeping with Liara, flirting with Kelly, flirting with Samara/Morinth could all also be clues.

I don't really care for Kaiden or Ashley but I did like the way they did the LIs in DA2.

while they were intended to be romanced by either gender, it never made it past intention stage, sorry.  it could be added in as a  new development, but it cannot be brought back as it was originaly inteded becasue original intention was never written.  there are no same sex files. when modded - Ash/Kaidan still see you as a Shepard of oposite sex, some romance specific dialogue choices are missing, and all there is are litteraly couple of lines that both Hale and Meer recorded for Ilos scene, from each others romances.  that's it.  the animations are choppy and in case of Kaidan, Shepard turns female, because they were never individualy done... it just replaces the models when it can (like with femshep waiting for Ashley to crawl, since it was already done for Liara's romance)

sometime around christmas, one of the developers mentioned that ME3 was basicaly playable,  oh it wasn't polished but writing and most of the coding was done.  several months later we started getting confirmations form voice actors that they were called in to do recording.  see the timeline?  storyline done first, voices added later.

whenever it was that Kaidan and Ash's same sex romance was cut?  that wasn't exactly at the last moment, (unlike parts of Liara's mission, that later got reused in a DLC)

and like Collider said, at this point they are not the best choices to implement same sex romance due to that pesky virmire thing (among other things)

while they were intended to be romanced by either gender,

Were they? I don't think the audio files alone prove it.

Its too late now, and I think the audio files were just recorded to give the option for same gender romances to the devs, but they decided fairly early on to not include them.

Rizaki linked me a developer quote in a different thread.  I don't think audiofiles prove that it was actualy written (especialy if you concider the specific audiofiles)  either, but I don't doubt the intentions.  they just seemed to have never made it past brainstorming stage.

One of my favorite discoveries from when I was going through the audio files of ME1 and ME2 was finding MaleShep saying the line to Liara about "You want a relationship with me?  Even though we're both women?"

So, yeah, I would say the audio files alone don't prove it.  :D  I get the feeling they didn't bother to make two seperate scripts for Mark and Jennifer, they just had them read all the lines and has a few leftovers in the game files.

Why does the fact that it’s Asari make a diff? If femshep is attracted to someone who looks, sounds and is for all intensive purposes female she is at least bi and it counts as SS. There is also Kelly.
Yet there are no SS for males in this game. Also Shepard has shown no signs of it? This is an RPG. They are going to let you screw with another elements of Shepards personality and morality but you can’t change sexuality?

I would prefer not the VS. I don't think you should be able to romance them in the last game really. It would be easier if they made new characters.

This is better discusse din the fight for the Love thread. There are people who do and do not want alrdady established characters to become bisexual so that they are available for S/S romance. it's a toss up really.

Sorry, can't hear you over the sound of Ashley dying and the subsequent non-romantic bromance with Kaiden.
