lol and shep was? looks like before (not reading any of the books) he was an errand boy...the orginal go-for boy...but he was able to stand up and defeat saren...dont underestimate him...he can do it

Well, the woman's dead. And has been for a decade.

But since Drell have perfect memory and he believes in an afterlife and all that...
Kinda makes me sad, picturing Irikah. She waits for him, near the shoreline. She watches him, body and mind detached. Killing, murdering. For years he is like this, until finally he puts himself back together, but the reason for that? He fell in love with Shepard. And for all this time she's been waiting for him, he arrives. But he, he is waiting for another.

That's just BioWare's Carth Syndrome at work, if you ask me. It doesn't stop Thane's romance from being one of the best I've experienced in the trilogy so far, however.

For me, Thane's is better than Ashley, Kaidan, Liara, Jacob and Miranda's, but less exciting than Jack, Tali, and Garrus, respectively.

I liked Kolyat more than Thane but that may be because he was voiced by Raiden.

There are two stories, going on three. That take a year after Mass Effect 2 ending. I highly doubt he is gonna last that long. More than likely two years would past by, then Mass Effect 3 kicks in.

No, they don't.  Retribution and Inquisition are the most recent and neither specifies an exact time frame.  Best guess is "months".

The brevity of Thane's future was only one of the defining character traits and themes of the romance going in.

I agree, it would be a major copout if a cure for Thane just suddenly comes into fruitation in the third installment. I don't hate him, but that would be too much of a case of "Having you cake and eating it too." 

I mean seriously if that's the case, they should make Jack completely sane with no emotional scars while they're at it.

So before he dies I would like to see him write down his list of assasinations to clean up C-secs books. It would redeem him somewhat IMO. I didn't buy the my body and mind are separate and I am only the gun schtick.

I think Bailey knows the Drell Assassin Shepard brings with him has a high chance of being the one murdered all of those people, but they were criminals and gang members so they kind of had it coming.
