You know, I think Bioware is forshadowing a giant war during DA3. If you've killed Arishok, then he promised the return of the Qunari, and the end of Kirikwall. Alister said the Orelsian (ik, I probably spelled it wrong,) Queen is having trouble trying to keep the peace. Kirikwall is in ruins thanks to Hawke (Great job! XD). I'm forgetting something.... oh yeah, maybe a Blight that was barely avoided? Because Fereldan is weakend because of this, other kingdoms will probably say: "HEY! Lets attack those guys! Their defenses are down!"
This is all theory, but who knows? Lol, it's something to ponder on!
War in DA3? Maybe....

The Orleasians are clamoring for war with Ferelden, but Empress Celene is trying to hold the peace. She's very good at playing the nobles, so who knows how that will turn out. Considering all the hints in DA2, and Celene almost showing up in Origins, I bet the Orlais/Ferelden conflict will be center in DA3.
I can't see any other country invading Ferelden, it's just not working geographically. Unless Rivain or the Qunari launched an invasion by sea. Speaking of the Qunari, I wouldn't assume the Arishok meant the Qunari would return immediately. Sten said in Origins that it was just a matter of time until the Qunari invade Ferelden, so they do have a plan to convert Thedas to the Qun.
All in all, a whole lot of wars are about to break out. Bioware's pretty serious about the 'kicking down the sandcastle' concept.

And don't forget the whole mage/templar powderkeg going off. While not as formal a war as the hipster Qunari invading things are going to be a lot more difficult without an established inventory of mages handy.

Well, yeah I didn't expect them to return right there. IT could be a decade before they actually do, still I think there is going to be one really, really big war in DA3. And yeah, I agree that Orlais will probably be center of conflict, but we'll just have to see.
