I keep getting the message 'Lost connection to the Dragon Age servers' when I try to login using my normal ID, it worked fine until yesterday. For some reason I can login just fine using a different e-mail.
I just got the new DLC and would like to play it, but I can't authorize it as long as I can't login with my regular e-mail. I even changed my password to see if that would solve the issue. I'd be thankful for any helpful sugestions.

same problem. my support ticket is being escalated, but can I get an answer here as to whether this is a widespread issue? I had to make three attempts to even get the help/escalation I needed and am now trying to get all my DLC credentials moved to a new account which I may be able to use to log in.

First, I was told it was my ISP--apparently I had high latency sending and receiving from the EA servers. Next, I was told to delete all my DLC, re-download (for the second time today) every DA2 DLC, and even after reinstalling the entire game as well as accompanying DLC still have the issue.

After that, the last support ticket I sent was along the lines of getting a refund for my DLC so I could at least buy them again for a new account--I feel this is sufficient as a strategy to avoid being unable to play any of my DA2 saves because of the requirement to authorize new DLC with your account.

I feel like I've headdesked ~50 times since this issue arose a few weeks ago, and am now actually unable to play the game after acquiring new DLC (all unauthorized apparently, after purchase, due to inability to login) and reinstalling the entire game. The choice to do that made every piece of DLC which I had authorized when I was able to log in on my account become -deauthorized-

Bleh.

Apparently the problem lies in my own EA account. This is perplexing and frustrating. Any word on whether our accounts are somehow 'messed'?

Apologies for double-posting, just hoping someone will chime in either having had the problem themselves, or with some sort of support. Thanks.

I've contacted customer support, but they have yet to find a solution. I can login to this website, ME2 and the demo version of DA2, but not to the actual game...it just doesn't make sense.
It is good to know that I'm not the only one with this problem tho.

Same here. I keep being told that it's on my end, when it is apparently an account issue. Can we at least get our content transferred to accounts which aren't having this issue, or can we get some sort of response other than DELETE YOUR TEMP FILES and prompts to follow troubleshooting intended for Origins? Please?

all i wanted was to dress my hawke up like a lion ;_____________;

okay and I made a support group for whoever has this issue, we can chat there for solidarity.  I have a petition forming to make me, skcm, into a lion in DA2.  Thanks much.

This is crazy, and it definitely seems to be server side, because I have attempted to log in as skcm on my machine in another country with a different install, and it wouldn't work. I can log in just fine, so it's an account related setting that we're either not aware of or that EA or the DA2 servers are in control of.

=( I want skcm to be a lion.

I'm sorry you guys are dealing with this, too. :(
I'm calling EA's support line today to see if it's more helpful than opening an online ticket.

My sympathies for your problem - I don't suffer it from myself as I haven't bought the DLC (and don't plan to), but I know how annoying this sort of a technical problem can be. :(

Didn't join your group as I don't think that one-issue groups centered around some technical problem really help in getting it fixed any sooner. If this is a wide-spread problem, it'll get fixed soon, I hope, and would be supriced to see it drag out much longer.

I hope you'll get the problem sorted soon!

Thanks! My concern is that it's not widespread, and that is what really bothers me about this specific issue. I've had no ability to log-in for more than a few weeks now, as far as I can remember, and after the acquisition of the new DLC, I couldn't redeem it because of this inability to log-in.

My real issue is that I am well aware it is my account, and that it involves the accounts of everyone who has the problem-- it is NOT my ISP, it is not my DLC files themselves. I don't blame the customer service agents, nor do I blame EA, but I am trying to gather support so that we can run through all the attempts we have made. So that we can get smaller problems like this paid attention to--it is preventing me from playing any of my old saves. I worry they will let this slide because so few of us are being affected.

I don't want to have to make a new EA account. It's unnecessary, and I definitely don't want to have to buy all my DLC again.

Add me to the list. Everything works fine with login except for in the game. I bought the newest DLC (having forgotten, silly me, that it needs to be authorised to work in game) without problem. So my account is apparently working for everything BUT logging in whilst in the game. So now I've got this new DLC content with no way to use it since it is tied in to the in-game log in.

Edit: For clarity, at least I hope this is more clear.

My game logs in fine (apparently) but then after having loaded a savegame the connection gives out a few minutes later...
No Idea why, as I can log in perfectly here on the forums and I can also look at my purchased content and what not.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Even after explaining my issue to several tech support people...again and again, they are either unwilling or unable to help me. Customer support won't refund my DLC or transfer it to another account, they won't give me a time frame in which I can expect to be able to play either.
I guess it's back to WOW where they actually care about their customers.

Same problem and it is definitely EA. Don't hold your breath on a prompt fix, as they already have your money.

edit
The problem exists with ME2 as well, considering up until a few days ago I had never had any issues. Every site, even the few Steam games I have, have zero issues... EA manup and fix the issue... it is not my isp, unlike EA/BW they don't mislead and manipulate.

Haha, Pixie, I've been back on WoW as a result, too. This is still annoying, but I guess if they had a time frame, they'd give it to us. Good luck to all.

Still nothing I take it? Wonder if we need to do something we haven't thought to do yet.

I could have a hissy fit but I expect I'd just end up tired and still screwed out of my DLC. :)

I am in the same boat as the rest of you people. I just hope they can fix it. But I won't hold my breath.

Been trying to figure out why this is now for weeks!
I just paid for the new DLC and I am ticked off that it won't actually work.
And just a thought, does anyone remember the day that their own log in troubles occured? My inability to connect to the servers coincided with the day that Steam downloaded patch 1.01. Not sure if it's relevant or not.

For customer service to look into this problem, EVERYBODY who gets the
"Error You have lost your connection to the Dragon Age servers. You will be unable to access online features of the title until you connect again. [3;800f0000(SDK_ERR_DISCONNECT_OVERFLOW)]"
message when trying to log in the game needs to contact tech support to show that this is a widespread problem and not just a single occurrence.
To prove that it's a fault on the DA server side and not yours, log in with a different e-mail (it takes 5 mins to make one if you don't have one).
We can't expect to change anything if we do not bring this problem to their attention.
