The patch v1.04  is out in europe someone already downloaded the patch in the American version?

I don't know how someone could've downloaded it, at least not here anyway as the PSN is still down.

You don't need PSN to download gamepatches, in FACT when a game DO download and patch it signs you out of PSN before doing it.

However my european ME2 do not update when starting, last time it did was to 1.03.

Yeah, it is the 1.03 patch. I'm so glad I checked this thread, I had given up all hope of being able to start a brand new game on the PS3 version of ME2 while the PSN network was down but as I am typing this my PS3 is installing the 1.03 patch. Hopefully this will fix the Mass effect Genesis glitch. Now all we need is a patch for the audio issue.

I'll post again when I confirm that it works.

Thanks to the topic creator, I would have never known that the patch was available for download if it wern't for you.

Different regions have different Version numbers
Its called the "late April patch" for that reason. US patch has not been uploaded as of late

(The Highest version number for this patch is 1.04 in the UK)

I thought you would still need access to the PSN in order to get it though. I could be wrong. Still haven't received a prompt to download it yet.

You don't need psn to download the patch. I'm in Europe so I'm playing it patched. You'll get the prompt to download the patch when starting the game if your connected to the net.
