So now I've uploaded my characters to this alternate login, and that worked... so if this doesn't get fixed, I have the option when I get the game of using my old login (and getting the three items from Dragon Age Journeys) or using this temp login (and getting the lucky ring).

Sigh. Please, someone fix this so we can log in with our original EA/Bioware accounts! :(

This still isnt working. Would be a lot easier to combine ALL my 3 communities (dragonage, biowareforums and ea) into this. The problem is with the auto-detection of the ea-display name, I think. Because when I did this acc with my other e-mail, I didn't bind any of the 3 communities to it, so I had to make up a display name and it worked. Then again when trying to bind, the display name is autodetected and cannot be changed and then the error appears with fields arent filled out correctly. Any updates on this mods? I'd like to this bound to my ea-account before the actual DA launch :)

Ok, I finally got this to work with my ea account... I have no clue what I did, but this time I had the chance to edit my display name. And thank god, it worked, although I didn't get my bioware forums display name, as the ownership confirmation didn't work ( and yes, it didn't work, I didn't screw up anything). Anyways, I hope this gets fixed asap. As committed as your fans are - 3 hours of trying to signup to this place is a quite the test of commitment :P. Anyways I know it's beta and everything isn't working as it should. Hopefully you guys at Bioware get this login issue fixed :) I'm sure the social bioware community will be a great success, as all the features in beta seem nice.

Might of found something (likely nothing);

Sign in BSN, log out, click create account, sign in to EA account, log out, click create new account, sign in with Bioware name.... repeat/reverse as needed.

Did that a few dozen times yesterday and this morning, instead of just logging me in normally, it would sometimes go to step 3 (edit proflie/activity), which let me go back to step 2 and try to get my primary username. Came close a few times of getting it to work but it would just log me in under this name or say invalid info/name taken.

The only good thing I found is that deleteing and account removes the email. So next week I will know if I have to delete this account when I try to register from in game (360) and it tells me the email is already taken or I don't get my DAJ unlocks.

Well, I had this issue and I was able to register at last.

My bioware forum account was not activated, so login there first. I made EA account my primary account (or the reverse, I'm not very sure) through the old bioware forums.

Then, I opened another time the sign up of social bioware. Crap. It remembered the previous tries, so It didn't work.

After that I opened Google Chrome (I was using Firefox) and signed up... first I logged in with the bioware account, and it detected the nick again. I click on next, and surprise, it worked!.

I think the first time I tried to log in with the EA account, so maybe that's the issue. Well, that and the fact that the page remembers your failure, and you have to change the navigator.

Gah.. I just posted something about this issue too, and found this thread (Whoops!). But I'm having the same issue, I can't register my account here, because I need to link it to my EA Games account and it insists "Something is missing" in step 2. Now, there's nothing on my EA Games account I care about, problem is, that account is linked to my PSN on my PS3.. If I don't link that account to my Bioware account here.. I won't be able to link my PSN to it either. So, I can't reap the benefits of the site with the correct account. :(

This MIGHT be everybody's problem. It was mine:

I made a Bioware account over at the OLD Bioware website. I apparently never completely activated it. So I went to that OLD site a moment ago (bioware.com) and logged in, clicked on NeverWinter Nights game, and it asked me to finish activating. I requested a new e-mail for activation, followed that link that was sent to me in my email and confirmed activation on bioware.com.

Then I came back here, logged in, linked a name and a photograph (Step 2 items), and voila. Everything works fine.

I was inspired by Tatsujiro's success, so I went back to my Bioware account, and unfortunately it had been fully activated... undeterred, I dug through my old XBox stuff, registered my copy of "Jade Empire", then told it to switch over to the Dragon Age social site, and it let me in!

Of course, I don't know if I'll get all my stuff... but soon I should see my characters appear on this account too, and this is the account I did "Journeys" with, so I'm vaguely hopeful! :)

I closed out of Firefox, loaded up the site in Chrome and it let me register right away with ZERO hassle.

I must have spent 2 hours in Firefox before trying Google Chrome. I would say try and give that a shot, it only takes a minute to install chrome and you don't have to make it your default.

Best of luck!

I had this problem and managed to partially get around it by completely clearing my tempory internet files so the website had no record of previous failures, then clicking the sign up button rather than login. When I input my existing (EA) username I got a messagebox asking me for the password associated with it, after I entered it I was able to finish the login with my EA account.
I can now see my characters that I created with the CC, but I can't see my Journey rewards. I'm not sure if this is a seperate problem or whether it's because of what I did. I've emailed tech support so we'll see what happens next.

i'm hoping that since when you sign in it asks you for your email, insted of user name that the unlocks for journeys is tied to your email address so i can still get those items.
If not i'll just use my EA account to download the extra's and forgo this site.

I think I have the same problem as most people:

I enter in my EA account/password on the main page of the BSN site (this account is linked to the old forums.bioware.com page, which I can use just fine). I get the "Step 2" part, which shows my display name linked to my Ea account and prompts me for my avatar picture. When I hit next, it says that a field has been filled in incorrectly.

-I've tried different browsers

-I've cleared my cache, which is how I made this account

Hey guys,

It seems like a lot of people are having the same problems like me... *sigh* For the last few days, I tried to get my Social Network account to work - I haven't been successful. So far, I tried different approaches:

1.) First, I tried logging in with my existing EA account. At step 2, it stops and I get the message that I didn't fill out every field (which isn't the case, as many of you already reported). The correct nickname is displayed (the one I chose during registration of my EA account), but step 2 is as far as I can get...

2.) After countless attempts, I tried logging in with my old Bioware forums account (http://forums.bioware.com/).

Well, that didn't work either. I got the message "Your EA account is not supported or has been disabled." (Which is strange, because I used my Bioware forum login and NOT my EA account login...)

To post this, I had to create a completely new account, which is kinda sad, because I want to get my bonus items from "Dragon Age Journeys" and keep the history of all of the games I registered at the Bioware forums (Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect and so on.

Maybe a developer can have another look into this matter? Please? Pretty please?

Oh, and by the way... Please excuse my English. ;)

A troubled German

I just signed up with my EA account, but I have an old Bioware account with all my NWN keys in it. How do I attach that too?

A fix for there has been deployed - please test it and post whether it worked or not.

This has worked for some but not others at the other site, so I've pointed this thread out to them. Hopefully some of the ideas in here will help.

I've had this annoying loop since trying to register a character from the creator also. I dont have alot of knowledge about coding but it appears to be some sort of clash when trying to use the same username as my EA or bioware forum profile.

Anyway, I submitted a mail about the problem in the hope that it gets fixed but I eventually found - what I hope to be - a way around it.

I use Firefox browser, i'll explain what I did in as simple a way as possible to avoid having to later explain something if I can. Under 'History' on the toolbar, I clicked on 'Show All History', I then right clicked any entry for the social network and it gave me the option to 'forget about this site' which I clicked. I then refreshed the page (I was still on the social network website but I guess navigating to the website from google or bookmark will work just the same). I then clicked on 'Sign up' and proceeded to enter my details in as if making a new account (I did not try to use my bioware or my EA account).

Completing the first page is self explanitory BUT I entered in the same details that I have on my EA and bioware account, this got me through to the second page of registration but with the option to enter a display name (now i've got this far before but previously entered the display name I use on EA and Bioware only to get stuck in the same loop again), this time I entered a new display name and clicked 'Next', it seemed to put me in the loop again as the same message came up in red about a field not being entered correctly, this is where I almost gave up but for some reason I thought to click again and sure enough it registered me!

Now, after messing around with my profile, looking for - and failing to find - characters that I had tried to upload with the creator I returned to the home page and the update page showed my 2 characters, previously uploaded yesterday were there.

My only question is about the DA journeys unlocks, they were done with my EA account and I have not seen any way yet to link this site with EA, I used the same email address and password but a different display name.

I hope this helps those with the same problem.

The previous games don't seem to be included for registering at the moment.

This STILL is a problem, my BioWare account is kav2k and there's a linked EA / Dragon Age account. Can't get past step 2 with incorrect fields error. Please look into it!

Edit: tried different browsers, different paths (login with email, login with username, signup with email/username, signup with link to all 3 accounts), scrubbing cookies, nothing.

I'm still having this problem. I not only tried different browsers but totally different computer, mine at home and the one at work, and I still can't get it to work. It looks like I'm using my EA Account.

My son is having the same problem.  He cannot migrate his Bioware acount over.

We've tried under IE 7, IE 8, and Firefox 3.5

We've deleted all the browser history and cookies, and even tried a clean machine to no avail.
