Ok, there is something fundimentally borked with either my son's account, or this site.

After clearing the browsers cache and cookies we've moved now to "Error creating social site account"

This is for the email address cccastelli AT shaw DOT ca.

Is there some other support system in place? A help desk or phone line? Having to post on a message board and hope some one reads it is very frustrating.

Now that these are up again, there was a suggestion in the other website help forum thread to link to that one from here.

This thread, and this thread.

Rheannan: Same error I was getting. I just had to link my bioware account to my EA account.

It appears to be the site. I am not registering my PC cd key until I am sure my EA account is linked properly, as well as my legacy Bioware account. I understand this is beta, but right now this is terrifying w/ CD keys involved and bonus items.

Same issues - very irked! Why do they bother with "promo" content, then nor provide a means to access it robust enough to hold up to a launch?

I was able to get the pre-order items and the shale DLC to redeem and download. However the funny part is when I redeemed those codes it would tell me that not only was it accpeted but that it also didn't recgonize the code either..

For anybody that hasn't tried yet, try putting the redeemed codes in with all caps and no dashes. I also had to exit the game and restart the game each time to get it to finaly download.

Indeed. I was fighting with the system for an hour last night, having the EXACT same problem - linking my bioware account to the EA account wasn't working either. I too am holding off registering any CD keys or redeeming any codes, it's just too risky.

I created the account here, got the error message, went to EA, created an account there (same e-mail/handle), then returned to the DA registration. There was an "Already have a Dragon Age account" button that I clicked that allowed me to input the email and password and logged me in...

Can anyone else try that to see if it works for them?

I had problems with this too and in the end I tought I was using my EA account. Seems I was wrong. Deleted it, went crazy checking my Bioware account (Veracruz), checking that I have an EA account from the Sims in the same e-mail than the Bioware's, and that the Master for the Bioware forums is in another e-mail. Crazy, really.

After some password changes I have been able to log with the EA master thingy and I appear as Veracruz (Bioware's nick) so I suppose that everything must be correct now... I hope.

Right, I can't seem to figure out if my EA account and BioWare account are even linked. My old registered games aren't being displayed, and this account claims to have been created today, despite being the correct name for, apparently, my EA *AND* BioWare accounts. If I log in with the display name and my password, I get an account that was supposedly created today. Apparently it's not the account my friends requests are going to either.

I want to register my game and codes, but I 'm afraid to risk either until I know that my account is functioning and that I don't accidentally register new games to the wrong account.

I'd like to think that any issues with codes and wrong accounts would be (slowly) solved by EA/Bioware. I don't feel guilty for a system that I don't understand with masters, mergings and who knows what else. :S And being betatesters here, it's the least they should do.

I am sofa king frustrated...I redeemed my codes...a note said it was successful...logged back into the game and I STILL can't see my DLC. If I lose those codes because of a glitz, I will blow an epic fit!!!!

There is an 'email already taken' error coming up, which may or may not be a new error:

Posted 11/04/09 16:40 (GMT) by forbin

I'm still unable to set up an account with bioware social network. it will not let me go on states that my email address already is in use.

Currently, you can only register Dragon Age here. There may be plans to add the others at a later date.

While being prompted to use your BioWare username, this is still a new account for this site.

Apparently it's not the account my friends requests are going to either.

Have you checked again since posting that? You should be able to view incoming requests under 'friends>incoming friend requests'.

"While being prompted to use your BioWare username, this is still a new account for this site." I don't understand your message. Could you rephrase it?

Do you mean when we're prompted to enter Bioware account, that entry would only create a new account?

What I mean is that the reason the join date on your account here is so recent is because while the accounts (from the two BioWare websites) are linked, it doesn't transfer the join date.

We have resolved several signup issues, and at least most of the ones mentioned above should be resolved. Anyone having issues, please try again.

If you still get stuck, please use the "report debug information" link that appears with the error messages, and we will be able to sort out what exactly is going wrong.

So what I'm gathering from this thread is that since my EA and Bioware accounts are already linked, it's safe to use my codes on this one? I'm dying to get them running.

My friends requests finally came through, fortunately.

EDIT: I went ahead and tested the DLC - it's working with Dragon Age.  Oh thank heaven.

Hi! :D

[Edit]
And no, but I have been strangely tempted to. Just for the experience.
