I would like the option, could be a nice rp moment. But it sure isn´t a must have for me.

I'd be interesting to at least opt to have a sort of "bonding" ritual. Maybe not marriage or even something with the name of marriage, but it would be nice to have some sort of ending with them that didn't end with black screens sex.

Like for instance, you have a standard Christian wedding with Ashley, and get to run around and meet the rest of the crazy Williams family. It's even a chance to make fun of certain things, like you go home with Garrus, and Garrus's dad complains about you for an entire speech because he doesn't like "spectres and how they run things." The speech could end with Garrus saying something like "See? I told you my father wouldn't like you." It'd be fun to have, that's for sure. Probably better than the random sex scenes, no doubt.

As for kids, that'd be nice too. Especially with the ones you can actually reproduce with. Although, adopting would be cool too.

If the wedding wouldn't be cheesy, and if the wedding would take place when it actually fits in the game, then yeah, it would be awesome!  ^_^

I see nothing wrong with it if it was handled subtley enough. Getting down on one knee and popping the question as part of a standard crewmate coversation on the Normandy in the middle of a Reaper invasion would be awful, but I don't think anybody in favor of a marriage wants that. I think most people would like to see it as some type of epilogue or post final mission type content.

I always imagined a post game epilogue with my Shep and Ash standing on the porch of Ash's family's house with Shep about to meet her family for the first time, some apropriate dialogue about family and nervousness, and nothing more blatant about marriage other than Ashley playing around with a new ring on her finger.

It CAN be done tastefully. And as this game is an epic conclusion, that's the kind of thing I'd like to see wrapped up as far as the ENDING goes.

I really don't... Where would it even fit? The closest thing I can think of, that I would be okay with, would be an ending like in "The Last Samurai" where you see Algren reappear at the village... and then Toki, in the distance, looks up and sees him... they make eye contact.. and they both smile knowingly - and that's it. That's all you need to know they're going to work - and it ties in well with the movie (a "small measure of peace" after all the fighting). And it works beautifully. There's no wedding shoved down your throat in the middle of the movie. Why would there be? They were kinda busy fighting for their way of life the whole time. So no, I don't want to see a wedding awkwardly inserted into the middle of the game; it'll feel out of place considering all that will be going on. But if we beat the Reapers, and all the meetings and debriefings are done, then I'll be happy to see my Shepard walking away from it all with Liara, with a couple knowing looks, and a fade to black. But that's it. Little to no talking.  Gah, or something like that, I don't know!

If there was a love or engagement scene, it would be before the last horrah of the game. Like in ME1, the love scene was right before going to Illos, and in ME2 it was right before entering the mass relay.

In ME3, it would be right before Shep enter Harbinger to destroy it and to send an emp out to destroy the other reaper ships. Or whatever the developers have made to be the end of the game.

And the engagement scene would only have the occurance if the Shep had a previous love interest with that person. It would be a subtle scene, like that of Liara and Shep in ME2. Something like

Liara: What's on your mind?
Shep: Everything. Saving the universe. Knowing if were going to live tomorrow, and you.
Liara: Why me?
Shep: I promised to love you and to not die again, and you said you imagined little blue children in our future. So what I'm trying to say is marry me when this is over.

BUT there wouldn't be an actual marriage groom and wedding dress scene, UNLESS it was at the end of the game and final credits. But I would prefer a simple exerpt like those at the end of DA:O

Liara: Damnit, Shepard, I didn't imagine little blue children; you did...
Shep: But--
Liara: No.
Shep: Liara, please don't do--
Liara: *Places finger on Shep's lips* You.  Don't.  Understand... I wanted large blue children, not little ones... And if I can't have children who are at least 5 cubic meters in volume each, then I... I... I JUST CAN'T DO THIS *runs off crying*

*ahem*  Yeah, I'm bored...

If we are going to have marriages in mass effect 3, i do believe they should skip from making the actual wedding a big deal. The proposal can be sweet and the climax of the romance, the wedding should just be a way of getting the "happy ever after" image. And not all of the weddings should be similar. maybe only certain romance options get a wedding. I find it hard to believe someone like Jack would have a big wedding like Ashley.

Basically, if Bioware can do a wedding in a believable fashion, it would be a helluva' way to end the trilogy.

I think Shepard got bigger issues to deal with than mariage in ME3, tbh.

There's a galaxy under attack by ancent killer machines, and people want him/her to waste time on taking vows that will be meaningless if he fails?

Can he marry AFTER the threat have been dealt with? Sure. But that's also after the games sphere of interest, so....

In short: I think it's a silly notion.

If I was going into war and chances were high I would die I would probaly want to get married even more. It is a "live today, because tomorrow we die" situation.

Tbh, I would consider such a move to be utterly selfish and outright cruel towards your new spouse. :pinched:

Edit: On another note, at least we now hot they can continue the franchise in a way that seems to have some people drooling: "'Sim Effect!' Build up your very own Sim in the ME universe!!!"

Wut? Same publisher, so no biggie to mix the franchises...

itd be interesting to see topics like "whod you marry" instead of "who did you romance" in the distant future.

Yes. I have wanted the option to do so ever since I heard this line. "I don't know, Marriage, old age and a lot of little blue children."

Would be nice incentive to wipe the reapers out fast. :D

I think it would make for a nice end game bonus if you and your LI both survive, but I wouldn't even bring up the question until after I had wiped out the Reapers.
