and very low cutscene dialogue.

Greetings all,

Thanks for any help in advance.

I was playing this game when it first came out, never finished it on my old machine. On this machine I installed it  and it ran beautifully with no hiccups whatsoever. I played for about a month, went away on vacation and when I powered up and started to play, I noticed that my cutscene dialogue was at first very low, and well garbaled to be exact. Now I can't hear them at all, and I have no sound at the startup movie or the splash screens. The rest of the battle sounds and character cries are perfect, the the music and other audio low, garbaled or non-existant.

I've tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of the game (clean). Updated my sound drivers, and video drivers. Checked and downloaded the directx 9c that I saw listed in the forums. Even tried a system restore to no avail.

I've been googling stuff on the web and have not come across anything that points to any help at all. I am currently also posting this at Tom's Hardware just to throw pasta at the wall...

Thanks again!

Gah! Disregard this post. It seems my headphones have taken over my sound system in some aspects and it probably has little to do with the game.

Ill let you know how it turns out.

back again. That worked for getting all sound back except for the cut scenes. Is this a game bug, is there a setting in the nwn2.ini file I need to know about?
