I am still not sure but I was briely using a mod that greatly increased the elemental force of Merill's Ensnare; the result appeared to be that enemies literally got sucked into it much like they would for pull of the abyss. But I am not sure, Does anyone have any good info on this? Cheers:)

Same as physical force, except it can be resisted with high elemental resistances rather than physical.

Elemental force is the secondary effect of elemental damage. Like physical damage does the knockback effect if you hit hard enough, elemental has analogous effects, like the burning/panicking for fire damage, the shocking for electricity damage or freezing for cold as a few examples.

Yup. One of the underappreciated benefits of being a Force Mage is that 25% bonus to both force types. A FM/Elem/Primal mage throws, immolates, freezes, shock enemies at a greater rate thus increasing an already high CC ability.
