I prefer Male Hawke's lines when he is speaking angrily, and in the sarcastic, funny lines, as he comes across more irreverent than Female Hawke. Female Hawke I prefer the compassionate responses.

I think the VA for LadyHawke conveyed more real emotions than the male. I dont think the MHawke VA was bad but sometimes i just didnt " feel" it was anything but a read aloud line... mb also I still cant wipe off the bad taste [ er hearing in my mind] of Vaughns voice , tho he did DO a great evil dude in DAO....

No offense to the VA, but I want to punch MaleHawke in anything but the agressive Voiceset. I can tolerate LadyHawke much better. Especially sarcastic Hawke. I really, really get annoyed by snarky Malehawke.

edit: However, my favorite character is agressive MaleHawke.

Lord Hawke. Sarcastic, aggressive, you name it. Aggressive m!Hawke's speech at the Gallows was nothing short of the "tonight, we dine in hell" kind of amazing. It was perfect.

LadyHawke! I loved the voice actress, and I play a girl whenever i can, after decades of playing guys!  It's nice to mix it up.

Ladyhawke, because I'm female myself and never feel quite right playing male characters, although I finally did a Mawke run just to see what bits of the character interactions were different. Nearly all my characters are female for that reason.  Also, I do prefer Ladyhawke's voice, finding that Mawke's feels much too old for the lore-based age of the character.

Also, I totally dig calling her Ladyhawke instead of Fawke, and I wonder how many people know about the other Ladyhawke.

I haven't played much with Male Hawke, but I can tell he isn't nearly as funny as Lady Hawke. Her voice is more fun, more confident and her demeanor more interesting. Perhaps I haven't played enough with the male version, but I consider his voice to be too calm and solemn, he doesn't sound like fun. About the lines I don't remember anything particularly different.

I love my snarky mage Hawke, but Lady Hawke's voice acting seems a lot more expressive and varied, especially with her humorous voice. Plus my rouge character always ends up being my favorite.

Snarky male Hawke is pretty fabulous. Sometimes, I felt he should have been throwing out glitter. And other times ... he was failing pretty wonderfully.

I can't play anything else other than purple!Hawke, else the game gets suffocating.
