Wouldn't THAT be useful and fun?
Spec your Hawke, spec your companions, select any number and combination of enemies, pick any map or heck a white sheet background and just battle it out?
How about an Arena DLC/mod for testing Hawke/party builds?

Would be fun, I enjoyed the provings in DAO. However the amount of gibbing in DA2, it would be unbelievable that anyone survives.

If by "arena" you mean something like AC Brotherhood has. A training ground so to speak were enemies spawn every few seconds, varying in difficulty... yeah that'd be cool... I'm not a modder (not good one anyway) where I can try builds willy nilly. I have to playthrough the game to really test a build.. which kills my motivation.

If Mass Effect's Pinnacle Station was any indication, I don't think an arena would do very well.

I'm talking about a main menu option. Load your character and party, respec without a Maker's Sigh and then test your new party in a battlefield you can fully customise. Just like going to the Emporium, respeccing, but now you can test-drive your build as well.
