As previously mentioned, it's even more mind-boggling for PC.

On xbox there's X and A.
X always goes for the default option (the middle option), while A is when you choose the dialogue you want.
If they make X just for advancing the cutscenes, but having no effect on the convo wheel, then that's what I'm talking about.

Please assign different buttons for skipping the dialog and choosing the dialog.
It is often the problem that while skipping the cutscene, we accidently choose a dialog we had no intent of using. Now I know you guys work pretty hard at making cinematics and animations but there are people who have played mass effect games more than the no. of years they have been on this planet.
So, please please please. Assign different keys/buttons for these two jobs. Get this done so that we can blow our mind with ME3.
THIS. PLEASE. BIOWARE. SERIOUSLY.

I really didn't understand why Esc didn't work to skip... I think it has worked for nearly every other Bioware game. Please separate them.

Better yet, can we PLEASE have the option of skipping the tutorial if we've beaten the game already?!

This needs to be bumped. I approve to the max!
Pro Tip: Bumping a post will only result in it beeing ignored or locked eventually.

I lol'd.
Anyway yes I approve of this whole heartedly. Also they should make all cut scenes skippable. I'm so sick and tired of the into to ME2 I have to leave while it plays out and come back for the silly 1 or 2 lines of dialogue..
I'm not doing this just so they can find our frozen corpses...
anway seriously Bioware make it happen for ME3

Bioware could try something similar to what Halo Reach tried. Press two buttons instead of one to skip a cutscene. Not saying I endorse it but it certainly is an option.
It doesn't even need to be that complicated. Just make X skip the dialogue, and when you get to a decision wheel, pressing X stops doing anything. Then you must highlight a response and press A to continue the conversation. It's really this simple, Bioware.

Like what was said earlier: pressing X a lot should be designed to allow people to skip dialogue until the dialogue wheel pops up, then the X button shouldn't have any function at all until you press A to choose an option.
300% YES! (Seriously, I feel like we've never addressed this issue in past year of being here :/ )
