Interesting read. Thank you. Can't wait, I have a feeling the space battles will bring back the epic-ness of the final space battle of ME1.

As a matter of fact, Shepard was a helium3 miner on the moon at the end of his 3 year contract when sh*t started to go down.

Hey just a quick question, there isn't anything too spoilerific in the post is there?

Hints as to the locations you'll visit (none of them are really spoilerific) and the fact that some guys will be returning. I can't think of anything else that contains spoilers.

Thanks Phaedon.

EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention: they say that the factions of the galaxy are on the verge of civil war and  is that we might possibly have to choose between them in ME3, such as the quarians and geth, citing Kaidan and Ashley as an example but on a galactic scale. Gulp.

bye-bye quarians

The caption states that every single squaddie who survived ME2 will be back. It does not say if they're going to be playable or even permanent squaddies ....

That all I care about....YES!!!!

The third picture has a caption in which the writer states that BioWare has some sort of plan on how to fight (in-game) the Reapers on their own scale, but that they want to keep it a secret other than that it will be "grand".

YES!!! WE FIGHT THE REAPERS IN OUR GIANT GUNDAM ROBOTS!!!
That or Shepard gains the ability to ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL on a Reaper itself thanks to his cybernetics

I was holding out until more information became available, but I guess I can join the "Ah yes, variables" crowd.  There will probably be a cameo or two.  I'm interested to see if keeping the Greybox will bite the alliance in the ass.

That or the Batarian living ship is retrofit into something Shepard can fly.

Or there's another dead Reaper that get's lobotomized and replaced with Shepard.

Or the Keepers join forces with the Council and Shepard flies the Citadel around, smashing Reapers.

Thousands of awesome possibilities.

No Mako this time....  Vehicle exploration in done in a Reaper.  :D:D:D :D:D:D

It has been said that the best way to ensure victory is to use your enemy's weapon against them. Yes, I'm actually talking about fighting the Reapers with the Reapers.

Casey reiterates that they are trying to make the game more difficult by making the enemies smarter and more tactical. "Veteran is the new Normal."

"Normal is the new Veteran" ?

Insanity you only get one death and the game is over, just like Witcher 2 or Diablo 2.  Now that'd be interesting, give it a special failure cinematic as well. One can hope

I had this crazy idea for a depressing ending where Shepard transforms into a Reaper, defeats the rest but is unable to return to his real body. So he decides to become the immortal protector of the Galaxy and the love interest either tearfully abandon's him/herself or upload themselves into Shep-Reaper :alien:

That's always been obvious.  They did the same in ME2.
