Humans = Protheons.

The Protheon guys at the Mars base survived and after the reapers left they realised their whole empire were done for so they went to Earth and restart their culture(wiping out the neanderthals in the process).

Remove the cypernetics from the statues on Ilos and you will see a human.

Forerunners?

Dammit, this trope is getting annoying.

Arcian, you are so awesome for putting this info up. Very well-written transcription there and it does give us a few new things to think about. Can't wait to see scans when they're allowed.

Am I the only one thinking the magazine is blowing whatever the big spoiler is out of proportion?

I mean, I honestly can't see the art director going "So yeah, this is how we're going about designing the Reape-...........TIM IS SHEPARD'S LONG LOST TWIN.......NO ZOMG WHAT HAVE I DONE!?"

I really hope that the plot twist isn't "The species that created the Reapers was from Earth". Unless it's the dinosaurs.

I also like the "Distract reaper with krogan convey so Turians can hit it". That will certainly have room for snarky commentary.

Here's how Shepard can kill a Reaper:

Prior to or during Mass Effect 3, someone developed a device that could replicate the Biotic Charge on a slightly larger scale. As Biotic Charge can pass through solid matter, this would be used to take out enemy ships (including Reapers) by sending a nuke. However, the current prototypes require a LOT of eezo, so they've only built a few.

Then comes the final battle. The Milky Way fleet knows that they can't win in a straight-up fight. So a new plan is devised. Instead of bombs, they send Shepard. In the final epic battle, you must teleport from Reaper to Reaper, disabling their mass effect cores (at which point, they swiftly die from enemy fire). You choose which Reaper to target next, so you shape the course of the battle. You can also jump back to friendly ships to resupply. Also, the Reapers begin to send reinforcements to their cores, so you will have to fight more and more enemy troops. Your previous choices influence other factors, such as how large your fleet is, its composition, and how many Reapers remain. But in the end, it comes down to Commander Shepard PERSONALLY killing the Reapers.

You realize it only does this because it's more convenient for both the programmers and the players that it ignores partial obstructions, right?  Get just a touch further behind a wall, however, and you suddenly can't Charge jack.  You'll notice the power description doesn't mention a thing about "phasing" either.  Nor do the loading screen tips.

Art director probably showed him some art, which contained the spoiler.

Yeah you can: when people keep spamming the same request over and over.  It's annoying. Please stop.

Protheans are not humans, and they never were. Protheans looked like illithids from D & D. Besides if protheans were human, how come reapers couldnt make em into a reaper before? And Vigil clearly says "You are not prothean, but you are not machine either"

Wait, wait, wait. The Reapers are invading, everyone's homeworld is under massive sieges, and people are preparing the launch civil wars?

What?!

That makes no gudd*mn sense! Anyone with an ounce of tactical logic or common sense would focus their forces on preventing the genocide of their species rather than fighting a potential ally for gains that would only last for as long as the Reapers are busy killing everyone else.

Oh, and the big reveal is likely to be the "fighing the Reapers on their scale" method that we are all wondeirng about.

It better be a big damn reveal, considering the Galaxy is utterly doomed without such an out-of-nowhere weapon to fight the Reapers.

Also, is it a bit pathetic that I'm more upset about the destruction of Palaven than I am about Earth?

It's not at all pathetic and even less suprising.

That option should only be available if you researched Heavy Muscle Weave (+25% melee damage) in ME2 ^_^
