Ok I was using the vaddin mod [the one that lets you look up and get any item] and I saw a book for bard specialization but it didn't work when I used it.

There's no bard specialization this time around, no.
Perhaps the voice actors playing rogues complained about sore throats from recording the "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" I'm-activating-a-bard-song lines. I know I would.

Only if you yourself sing along while playing a rogue. I doubt enemies are affected.

There is a bard and his name is Varric
I was going to make this rhyme - but I can't. Bloody Varric doesn't rhyme with anything.
Anyway:
Bianca's Song: Varric hums a melody under his breath, recalling the untellable tale of how Bianca got her name. Few things focus Varric as much.
Embellishment: Varric adds a new stanza to the ode to his beloved Bianca.
Pretty sure that sounds like a bard. He's just selfish and saves all the magical musical buffing power to himself.

The bard class was one of the most useless classes in DA:O for rogues. So no they removed it.

Ummm.. pretty sure bard was the best rogue specialisation for archers. And pretty sure that elements of the bard specialisation still live on in Varric's self-buffing abilities. So while they removed it from hawke, it's still in the game

Maybe Nathaniel and Sigrun complained. I dunno why Leliana would complain, hers was precious.

It was one of the most useful. Improved mana regen, then captivating song if surrounded.

I vehemently disagree with that. It was one of the best specializations. Perhaps not as useful as assassin, but definitely better than duelist. Song of Valor is indeed useless. Distraction is a great threat wipe, however. It came in handy when my rogue drew too much attention. Another use was dropping threat on a mage, then entering stealth mode to get that enemy focused on the tank. Song of Courage is the best buff in the game and can be stacked on everyone except the last bard to activate it. A bard/ranger does nasty indirect damage through their pet by exploiting that talent. It also applies bonuses to both weapons if duel wielding, and turns a rogue into a shattering machine with proper equipment. Captivating Song is a bit underwhelming as a capstone, but does have its uses if you need to buy time for a heal spell or poultice, or if you have another rogue to backstab stunned enemies.
I thought bard was one of the better specializations in Origins in that its abilities were mostly useful and varied. I also liked that it was not comprised of an activated ability or two with a string of passive upgrades.
I doubt Bard would be the same were it to return, since DA2 cannibalized several old specialization talents for base class powers. I expect it was cut due to unpopularity. It scored lowest on Victor Wachter's specialization feedback poll. Most players are enamored with huge damage numbers and abilities that seem cool; whereas bard is all about tactical battlefield control and buffing. There is also the whole singing and dancing thing that has dogged the concept in every RPG I have played since getting into the hobby. Few people like the idea their character is a foppish minstrel or something.
I hope BioWare brings it back in a future game. I was very disappointed after learning it was cut from DA2 months back.

I hope in a DA2 expansion they unlock Bard, Champion and Battlemage.
Shapeshifter would be nifty if it was done right, otherwise not interested in it. I just miss hand in winter and some insane elemental abilities.
