I have less complaint of DA2 than most but I'm lukewarm to it due lack of toolset. After the DA:O hack-and-slash episodes I'm burnt out on DLC, but a toolset for 2 would be something I'd shell out some cash for.

At least Skyrim will have a toolset. Just another nail in the coffin of fail that DA2 turned out to be. Let's see if Bioware manage to crawl out of the gutter with their next release.

With regards to any kind of potential toolset update there are many issues with regards to third-party software and programming hurdles that would need to be solved in order to provide the community with anything that was remotely useful. I'm sure that, if it can be done, it will.

Third-party software? I was under the impression that the Lycium Engine was owned entirely by Bioware.

WIth regards to the toolset, has Bioware ever considered simply treating any toolset update as DLC, i.e. charging a nominal fee to cover any time/costs associated with releasing it?
