"unfinished business"?

Anyways so i just finished my 2nd playthrough for ME2 (didn't lose a single squad mate) and just like the first im still breath taken. I can't believe i never got both the games earlier and it sucks ME3 comes out while im in Marine Corps bootcamp. Sorry about the rant, to the topic at hand.
So like im sure alot of people here have lol, i romanced tali finding her character to be probably the only one that seemed to have some sort of cannon connection to shephard, i mean it shows in volumes over the others and romancing her goes with my real world philosphy of personality over looks (though i sure as hell do NOT date uglies lol). Anyways so knowing how everything carries over im curious as to how the romance might actually "sum up" so to speak in the third. When i saw that tali has "unfinished business" with shephard in Mass effect 3 (as the wiki and a few others have told me) it got me idk a little worried? I mean what kind of business could we be talking here? I mean we put something into our romances here and like a movie with strong characters we want to see them wind up happy.

So I suspect her to be the new admiral (even if she was exiled) and with Xen and Hans, declare war on the Geth. So Shepard can either help the Quarians or Geth. Suppose if we side with the Geth, Tali would still continue the war but as the story progresses, she slowly cannot bear to endanger Shepard and the crew (espeicially if she was your romance in ME2) and at the end, redeems herself by turning on Xen and Hans, thus ending the conflict.

What i hope is: Tali joins the darkside. Yeah, i just said that. In spite of our 'Don't go to War' speech, she doesn't easily share your views (remember: father got killed and decades of Geth=Monsters perception. it's quite hard to change someone's view, espeicially if it's filled with hate. Anti-Japanese sentiment by Americans even AFTER ww2 for decades).
So I suspect her to be the new admiral (even if she was exiled) and with Xen and Hans, declare war on the Geth. So Shepard can either help the Quarians or Geth. That's..interesting. You do have a point about the perception, it's going to take a lot if you weant peace, which I will always go for, but it won't be a problem for Shepard becasue all he has to do is make sure that a bar is filled to a certain level, easy enough
However, there are several problems with that. Tali is what? 24 years old? She's too young to be an Admiral to be honest, even if she is considered the hero of the fleet or whatever. Secondly, she served alongside Legion for a certain amount of time. I have no doubt that Legion relayed the same information that he/it/they relayed to Shepard with regards to the original Geth attitude and what they were doing with Rannoch. That is bound to impact on her thinking in some way.

Not to mention that I think an admiral should have spent at least ten years in the military to gain enough experience for the job, which I don't think she has.

She won't become an admiral. I can almost guarantee that. Why? She lacks the right leader skills.

Also, she only served on the Fleet for two years after the destruction of the Normandy SR1. She could hardly be expected to lead the fleet after only serving for two years.

As for age and admirality... true, her age is quite young but other than Sha- Shanyiya? (Tali's aunt) i can't see another possible canidate for Admiral... unless they randomnly pick a quarian like Veetor

I think initially, she will relunctantly go to war because of all the emotions and concept that it's now or never for the future of the quarian race. I'm pretty sure that she would put the future of the quarians ahead Shepard and the crew even if she doesn't like frustrating Shepard's plan.

Lol, but heres another question. Even with the Geth gone then what? I can't remember exactly, but i think one of the admirals was saying something about "showing them the might of the quarian race". I mean i wouldn't count revenge against the racism from the council races out of their to do list either. Even still what role could they play in the galactic community?

Going to war agaisnt the Geth is paramount to suicide in my eyes, which is obviously what the Quarians are doing in ME3. The heretics come to a small precentage of the total Geth manpower, which amounts to billions upon billions of platforms that are stationed beyond the Veil, let alone programs. There are only 17 million Quarians left. It's unwinnable. Of course, Tali knows of the split, so I seriously doubt that she will push for all out war with the Geth to take back Rannoch when she knows that it would mean the end of her people. The only way to educate the Quarian people on the split is to bring Legion along for the trial, which I don't think will be taken into account. Besides, peace between the Quarians and the Geth will give Shepard thousands upon thousands of ships from both sides to reinforce the assault to take back Earth.
Tali's aunt was already an Admiral if I'm not mistaken. I imagine they will pick some random old Quarian who will push for war.

Im sure it'll be like the fighting amongst the crew in mass effect 2, if your paragon/renegade is high enough. Having helped both races (any races warring for that matter) you probably have the option to side with one or the other, or bring em both together.

Xen was crazy. She wants to turn the Geth back on the side of the Quarians and humanity ""will watch from a distance as the quarian people reclaim not just their homeworld, but the largest synthetic army in the galaxy", in her own words.
Of course, the galatic community would be united against a common foe, once the mass acceletrator rounds go past their hull, nobody will give a damn about who's helping them. Their help with regards to Earth will probably restore trust among the rest of the Council race. Once it's over, if the Quarians survive, I imagine they will prosper on their homeworld agian and eventually regain their Citadel embassy.

Ah thats who it was, thanks i couldn't quote exactly who. Well lets hope, honestly the quarians are one of my favorite races. At a glance you'd think they were the most advanced, then they get treated like garbage.

Great thinking guys, i hope you enjoy the 10 minutes of victory on Rannoch when suddenly the Reapers come in and harvest you guys.
But then again, I don't know how ME3 will start. Will it start with the trial and while it's happening, the Geth and Quarians are already at war before the reapers arrive? So you CANNOT really say: "Damn son, you quarians happen to start a war AFTER the reapers attack... and what's wrong with your faaaaaaaaaace?!"

I still find it stupid how while the Reapers... THE FRACKING destroyers of civillizations are battling humans and council and will eventually consume every other race, the Quarians decide: "Hey, lets take our homeworld... because that's the ONLY thing that matters... derp"

Nice pun there with the Fracking, I can't tell if it was intentional or not though.
Yeah, if they think they can retake Rannoch while the rest of the galaxy gets pounded, it would be pretty damned retarded. I remember GI saying that they were preparing to take it back, but we obviously go there for a reason, so they may just attack it for the lulz.
