You sure about that? I've had Assassins backflip, stealth for no more than 5-10 seconds tops, stab, backflip again, more than once. I think it might've even happened in one of my vids (Brekker, maybe?).

there are 2 stealths
1 is backflip requires a melee contact
second throws smoke under feet - used in open field.
If there is some shared CD between ? no idea.

Yet from what ive seen stealth for npc works this way - stealth animation - NPCs stop attacking target and cancel sheduled spells on target - there is also immunity during this. Then sin goes stealth where he sits for 2 sek ? after that he activies his backstab that is a shortrange teleport.
Its possible to outrun assasin - then he will lose stealth and chase you and when close enough he will teleport and backstab - we can belive it works same way when stealthed. First he will try to teleport to nearest target rather then running after a specific target.
I've seen also where backstab were broken after teleport but before the damage is dealth - he will chase and dead backstab damage on next contact.

As for CD stealth CD is as ppl say 5-10s - if its random or affinity - no idea. However the countdown starts as soon as he stealths so if he stays in stealth more then regular 2-3s (i belive he can stay stealthed for whole CD) then he can stealth right after backstabing.

Black powder courtesy, bodyguards ambush of that dwarf after the cave. Play this directly after act I. This is a nightmare!

Also, even after intense study of your vid, I have not managed yet to drag an assassin out of stealth. I tried every spell, and sometimes the kinetic burst does it, but it is more luck than skill.

there are 2 abilities:
Stealth, the flask being throw to the ground
Evade(enemy version), the backflip

both have seperate cooldowns, my guess would be 10 seconds on Stealth and 8 on Evade

most of the cooldown is burnt during stealth, the full backstab animation is at least 2 seconds

Its working correctly. If force applied is over 10% of your max health, you get knocked.

With a base damage of 30, upgraded Mind Blast is dealing the equivelent of 540 force. Unshakeable cuts 100 off, so you're still getting smacked for 440.

How embarassing. Shows how long I was watching your video. But yeah, I recognised that song - and somehow equated it with big sky, but since that's actually quite different i'm not sure what's the deal there. Too much playing dragonage and not enough listening to music I guess.. 

And Nice tutorial. Only problem for me is that it seems to rely quite heavily on everyone having the right staves (and I haven't had any decent ice staff drops yet and cant be bothered spending money on them). No CCCs either. How can you have a video without people exploding in it...wait I just saw a walking bomb ahahhaa 

Anyway, I'm going to attempt some speed runs now. Hopefully it'll work out right then I can use some good music! Because it's all about the music!

Excellent video.  Great to see that horrendous looking rock armor is finally gone.  What was Bioware thinking?

I recorded these two videos a while back.  Same fights/party as featured in your video but using a different approach.

Great job on these tutorials.  Dog is a champ.  How well does Dog deal with walking bomb?

Question: Is there an effective way to crowd control demons?With humanoid enemies its easy just use pull of abyss and gravitic ring. Demons are immune to this however. Most of the time i ended up retreating my party to choke points.

I hardly get much ussage out of cone of cold too most of the time party members is in the way. (Beside aveline or fenris i put rune of fortune on everyone. Stackable 10% money loot is just too good). Winter Blast when upgraded does small aoe that  are able to one shot anyone in your party. Seriously once the enemy get pass my tank and start attcking my ranged party (which happens ocassionally since enemy pop up in waves) theres nothing my hawke can do because of fear of FF.

When i put may party on HOLD the ranged member dont attack at all even though enemy is with in visible line of sight. I have to manually aim them using LI/L2 attack. Then Aveline starts going into melee range.. Is suppose it has to do with tactic, is should put Enemy: Target of hawke :Attack on all my ranged party member huh.

(And good to see Arelex's contributing more. My my those dlc items does look nice and mage's are the best of them all:wizard:)

grav works on demons, pull doesnt.

glyph of paralysis or lightning will cc demons well enough.
use WG from a 90 degree angle from where the melee is to avoid ff.
you can move and aim CoC so it doesnt hit anything but enemies.

if the enemy is in short range, a character with ranged behavior will attempt to move before doing anything else. While on hold this forces them to do nothing. Use Aggressive.
Some times open doorways will cause line of sight issues, no answer to this outside of a patch.

I tried a whole evening to pull the assassins during the black powder courtesy quest out of stealth and I did not succeed, except for telekinetic burst. The latter caused him to come out of stealth, chase after a target and do backstab damage to him while being visible. I think I can safely say by now that the way it is shown in the video, it does not work for me here on PC.

Can somebody please clarify: To pull assassins out of stealth, you need to have the right timing. On top of that, your aoe spell must have a certain strength. Since I don´t manage to pull them out, I figure my spells are too weak. What can I do to improve the strength of my spells? Is it physical force or damage?

everything is based off magic stat and the base damage of the staff equipped.

You can always switch to rogue and stab them in the face. It's very rewarding beating them at their own game

Yes.But a little luck is still required.They could decide to go stealth right when you want to assassinate them and then you have to wait for another 30 seconds...

Honestly,what stuff the game designers took when make enemy assassins the way they are now?

P.S - I'm a guy. I'm not entirely sure where the idea that I was a girl started, or with who, but I found it incredibly amusing (and telling, since I never said anything about it), so I never stopped to correct anyone.
