Not because its super hard as you get zerg by n-th wave nor requires you to get x ability or y resistance.
A fight that is well designed and require you to do certain things and you see it works...

For me first place is the first Ogre (not the training one) on NM - making him trample his own, throw rocks at them or avoiding the slam - it feels great . Also there is no easy spec nor DLC items to trivialise the encounter...

And my second Ancient Rock Wraith - some setups got it easier but overally its good encounter - my main complain would be that with certain dps the roll ball phase can be denied (should be untargetable when pulling himself back whole or pull back faster the more damage receiving )

And then there is nooothing ... High dragon migth be more interesting if he would move and fireballs in add phase avoidable. Orsino and Meredith both disappointment.

I liked the ancient rock wraith, purely because it has some unusual, MMO-style boss mechanics, which was a plus for me. Nothing else was really like it. The Vatteral was pretty neat as well. The rest of the bosses were two much the same. This isn't just Dragon Age 2 flaw though, Orgins had it as well.

I actually really enjoyed the final battle, by far my favorite fight of the game. All the walking statues and stuff mixed just the right amount of "AHHH, BOLLOCKS" and me massacring them together to form a really fun fight. It also probably made it more interesting that within the span of the fight, I literally killed off every non-party ally with various sorts of Firestorms, Cones of Cold and the like (Cullen, Carver, Fenris all bit the dust...if Zev had been there longer than one minute, he probably would have gone too), making the battle more challenging than normal.

I agree with all of these points.  Except, I thought the Meredith battle was fun.  I don't think it was designed very well, but it was fun  only because there was so much going on.

I think I'd have to say Hybris. It was one of the bosses that wasn't getting on my nerves due to length or tediousness. It was similar to the high dragon one, but more flowing, with less defined stages. By the time you were finished with the helpers his hp percentage was pushing into the single digits. Maybe his transformation element could have been more expressed, but eh.
Xenebeck was nice too, for the above reasons also, though it was longer/more ardous of a trial.

I dislike the arcade style bosses. Yes I figured out the routine to kill it, why do I have to repeat it half a dozen times, being subjected to my (lack of?) motoric capabilities and banal mistakes (Ooops, I sidestepped 1s too late, gotta reload). If I wanted that kinda game I'd play DMC or GoW. Sheesh.

Oh, about Orsino. Is it just for me that most of the time he's standing there being punched like a meatbag, getting all his attack interrupted apparently? Is PC bugged or did they forget to give him resistances or something?

nope, hes all shock n awe value, nothing else.

My favorite is Xebenkeck, in room. Nothing like that oh sh-t moment when you hit that final spawn.

2nd would be Castion, the fire traps shooting vertically is a nice touch.

I forgot to mention I have convinced Peter Thomas to patch Orsino so that he has +350% movement/animation speed and x5 damage/force. Also, all of his damage will become spirit AoE. Oh, yes, and he'll have access to Assassinate talent in 1.03.

I wish I was a bad enough dude to rescue the president fight Xebenbeck in the room.

I'd say the funnest boss was probably the Rock Wraith, yeah.

It's hard for me to tell if you are joking about this. Joke, right?

Meredith was my favorite.
On higher difficulties, it reminded me of wiping on Illidan so many years ago :P

Uh Uh I know i Know! Leveled up Fenris with good weapon and tactics but not in party ^^
He comes when the first golem is and it was like hmm i never knew this can do such damage ..but then i see Fenris under hs knees ><
For me Meredith is too chaotic / random and rather no involving thinking.

Vatteral is ok and Hybris element change is nice - sadly resistance trivialise those - when i had Fenris with fire /spirit immunity (so i dont kill him with FF) tank those he took v little and in Hybris case almost no damage making the fights seriously boring ;/

For me - rock wraith was certainly the best.
Meredith was quite fun encounter, but could use some extra flavor. It was just too simple. Even on nightmare it was very easy to defeat her. And there was no need to figure any tactics for her.
High dragon and Hubris were also quite good. And definitively more difficult than Meredith. Both required to actually use some tactic.

So far I have to say the nexus golem fight.
Its fustrating at first, but once you learn to do it with CCC, its a blast.
