Reapers Assuming Control of Shephard through his/her Cybernetic Implants

We all know that Project Lazarus required cybernetic implants to bring Shephard back to life, and I've read the idea several times that it would be cool if a Reaper took temporary control over Shephard via his/her implants. So, lets say BioWare decides to implement this, what do you think are some good ways BioWare could pull this off without it being too cheesy or cause everyone to face-palm it?
