So, if I'm playing on a difficulty of hard, or less, can I skip using Taunt and just rely on attacks/Bravery to attract aggro, or is Taunt still necessary?

Also, I'm guessing if I want to side with the Templars AND have Bethany in my party at the end, I'll need to make her a Grey Warden, no?  As putting her in the Circle probably won't let me get her at the end?

If I recall correctly I got the option to pick Bethany after the battle with Orsino (or during?) on my templar siding game.

About taunt I'm not sure I ever used it to manage agro on nightmare, so I guess you can skip it. It's not THE agro managing skill anyway, with it alone you won't do much in my opinion.

Thats good, cause with only 6 "power" buttons, I fill up quick.

taunt is more of a gathering the mess button.

keep in mind, stun clears threat
lightning damage's effect is stun

taunt has a real role to play during longer fights.

Deal enough damage and you really don't need Taunt.
