She completely destroys me each time. I didn't want to bering Shale but I thought I had to to acceses his personal quest so my party is my character (mage) shale Ohgren (2 hand) and Alistair (tank) the golems gang up on people and branka goes stright after my mage and even though she is wearing legion of the dead armor every hit is bascilly a knockout. Can someone please help with suggestions here? It would be much appreciated because this is driving me crazy!

You don't have to bring Shale to access her person quest. Also, the higher-rank the armor is, the more threat you draw. So if your mage has massive armor, and Oghren/Alistair both have heavy or lower armor, all the enemies will go right for you first.

Does Shale have that Stone Roar thing? Or does Alistair's Taunt work to get her attention? Basically you need to have someone tank Branka while you take out the golems. Once Branka gets down in health a bit and starts running for the lyrium streams, cast Force Field on her to put her on timeout. Finish off the golems and have your followers suck up the lyrium streams in the room. Tab to make sure they're all gone. By that time Branka will be back, but you'll have your party free to whale on her.

A good battle plan is to take out her four support golems first quickly enough so that your two ally golems are still alive to help deal with Branka. To do this you need to contain Branka. She gets out of cone of cold quickly, so the best two spells I found to contain her where force field and misdirection hex. You wil find Branka difficult to kill first because the four golems will knock you about too much after killing your allies.

Totally this. The ally golems make all the difference in this fight. Initially they are each fighting golems
 which outclass them, so if you ignore them all they are doing is keeping two tough golems busy for a while. Do what you can to tie up Branka and send at least one party member to help the allies. Remember you can heal them if you have the spell...

I had a very weak and badly matched party in that fight, because I switched in Leliana for the gauntlet who totally doesn't match my party strategy and you cannot switch back until after the fight. So yep, it was living hell for me, too.

The real challenge is getting through the golem phase. Make sure that in the beginning, at least two golems run for the npc golems, not you. Usually they do. Then, shut down Branka with forcefield and struggle to nuke down the golems. It's hard, but doable.

But while the overall fight is indeed an ugly one, it has two major things going in your favor.

One is that the battleground is HUGE. Once only Branka is left, you can easily drag her around forever by having her target run away like a little girl. There's enough room to outmaneuver her while the rest of the party rains destruction on her.

The other is the Lyrium veins. Don't underestimate these. They refill health and mana/stamina for free. While running like a little girl, make sure to use these. Or strike that, use them whenever possible even if you do not need them. Because otherwise Branka will, which is the last thing you need.
