So does anyone else think Alistair needs a DLC?  Maybe something with finding out where he really comes from, who is mother is etc. would be cool or something?  Why did Morrigan and Leliana get one and not Alistair?  I apologize in advance if there already is a thread on this or anything- the Alistair gush thread is monstrous lol!  I didn't want to go through all 1300+ pages of it! :)

With DA2 out I figure this probably has absolutely no hope of ever happening- but one can dream right?  :P

I doubt a full DLC would work, cause what we know about him doesn't suggest he has much for a game, besides the story of his Joining, if we're going the backstory route.

Not gonna happen. In the run-up to DA2, Luke Kristjanson said the writers had considered an Alistair Warden recruitment DLC but it sounds like it never got out of the spitball stage. Sadness.

I remember being disappointed that his sister's quest was so short and thinking it could have been fleshed out more.

I think Alistair's personal quest is so short because, in a real sense, the primary campaign serves as 'Alistair's story'. The events of the Fifth Blight and the Ferelden Civil War are, more or less, the most important things to ever happen to Alistair, and are the events that will shape him far more than anything else. Without the PC there to overshadow him, he'd be the star of the campaign.

Significant events in Alistair's life:
1. Being sent off to the Chantry - boring
2. Being recruited by Duncan and undergoing the Joining - interesting, but no real plot there
3. Ostagar - in the primary campaign
4. Landsmeet - in the primary campaign
Optional:
1. Meeting Goldanna - in the primary campaign
2. Courtship of his first love and culmination of the relationship - in the primary campaign
3. Slaying the Archdemon - in the primary campaign.
4. Siring a child - in the primary campaign

True. His quest seemed insignificant compared to Lelianas and Morrigans. I'm sure plenty of women would of jumped at the chance of giving Goldanna the Sword of Truthness.

Yeah I felt the same way too!  Especially given that there seems to be more to Alistair's background than even Alistair knows himself.

@ Frost: Yes this very point has been made in previous threads.

Zevran should have had a DLC.

The story with him and Rinna could be absolutely beautiful to play. And we could get a lot more info on the Crows, seen as we still don't know much about them. The torturing you get to see in Zevran's nightmare looks interesting - I want to know more about that!

I have this really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really strange feeling that the next major DLC in Dragon Age 2 is "The Calling" which I'm hoping is THE final story for The Warden and Alistair

There will be no more Origins DLC.
