Ok this might be a few dumb questions but long story short I got ME2 few weeks ago, after two play throughs I liked it so much forked out another 20 bucks for ME1. I'm just about finised with my second "real" playthrough on ME1 and then I'll import it to ME2. Im thinking of just racing through it first time to get the ending of Shep's death just to see it and then on that second playthrough, play it for "real" so my questions are

1. When i do a second replay on ME2 do I get power, exp, armor, ect. bonuses even if shepard dies first time?(does it matter cause I already have to games finised with ME2 but with no ME1 import?)

2. When I start my second "real" play throughon ME2 it will still be combined with my second "real" playthrough from ME1 right??

Im sorry if none of this makes sense or im just confusing peopleImage IPB

1. No. You cannot re-import a save in which Shepard dies. You may, however, save at a point where it's easy to go back and re-figure it so Shepard and at least two squadmates survive (learn to monkey with the odds here).

2. Yes.

What most people miss or don't understand about the Shepard dieing ending is, it is just a really long and fancy "Mission Failed: Reload" screen. Basically they spent a good bit of time showing your death so you understand how badly you did, similar to how they did the mission fail do to timer in DLC Arrival screen, but it just happens to be a bit longer.

if that's the reason, it's lame. Some master the game and could easily get everyone surviving but have Shepard die just for the drama.
