What is the best way to make Gold in the game? I have been playing a while and all I have is 3 gold. Not to mention that the addons like the Bergen's Honor, and Final Reason as well as the Blood Armor you were supposed to get for buying the collectors edition of the game you have to buy in game. I think that sucks myself since I can't seem to make enough gold to get them.

ANY SUGGESTIONS

I was having gold problems until I decided to go to Denerim.. I started working on some side quests and made about 45 gold just from that.. Also gold will go up the higher levels you get. By the time I was done with Orzammar I had around 200 gold. It just takes some time. At first you'll probably be salivating at the equipment to buy in the stores.. but you really do find enough stuff to keep you and your companions well equipped.. and by level 16 you'll start finding silverite and dragonbone gear..

I really hunted down every goddamn chest and looted til bleeding.

At Level 21 i managed to amass some good money, but still it wasnt enough to get the last items, which would have been 1 ring, 1 amu, 1 armor, 1 weapon. All in all about 400 gold...

save up 40 gold, go to Rogek in Dust Town, persuade him to sell you the lyrium for the 40 gold, take it to Godwin in the Circle tower and persuade him to give you 65 gold for it, then tell him you'll rat him out unless he pays more, then he gives you another 8 gold. Go back to Dust town and get the 20 gold Rogek promised you...40 gold invested, 65 + 8 + 20 = 93 gold for a net 53 gold profit. The dragon lair in the werewolf ruins gives you almost 20 gold in one shot...40 gold for rescuing "the tortured noble"... the Slim Couldry side quests net a decent amount of profit too... plus pickpocketing queen Anora will get you 4 gold for nothing so remember to always steal...

also, don't be afraid to sell items you really won't be using...and maybe use the wardens keep chest for a "free upgrade" before you sell those items when the materials upgrade... Sophia will give you another 8 gold for making a deal with her, but you can still kill her after she tells you where it is in her office.

When you go to Redcliffe village convince/intimidate the bartender at the tavern to go out and help defend the village, Once he's gone the red head is put in charge. Ask her for supplies and you can take all the crystals she has in both armor and weapons for free, leave the tavern, walk right back in and ask her again, repeat until your inventory is full. Then go to the blacksmith and convince him to get back to work and you can sell all the crystals to him, free up the inventory space and go back to the tavern to start all over again if you wish.

Don't forget to save one of each flawless crystal for Shale.

Or you can cheat......

A fast-ish way to earn soveriegns is to make and sell a ton of Potent Lyrium Potions. U can get the recipe at the Wonders of Thedas in Denerim, Lyrium dust at the circle tower, and the concentrater/distillation agents and flasks from Gnawled Noble tavern in Denerim.

I like the lyrium trick so that I can equip my team with good arms and armor before the end of the damn game, lol. Biggest annoyance with Origins is once u get everyone armed up and leveled... game's over so u don't get to really "play with" all that fancy equipment and skills for everyone. :(

Yeah I got tired of waiting and duped the tomes so I could raise my characters' stats and put some good equipment on them. I was tired of every random fight killing someone and having to drop an injury kit on them.
