I hope for people who dislike it to act like adults as currently some of those who don't like DA2 are acting like spoiled children.

Apart from that then more of the same as DA2 was better in many ways.

This is exactly how I feel. All this just adds to my theory that people like to complain for the sake that not everything in life is up to their expectations. Many people loved Dragon Age 2, just different people than the ones that enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins which personally I think was a bit overrated. Note: my opinion is the complete opposite of what some of you are saying. But neither of us is right or wrong because these opinions are mostly subjective. It's not like I don't have my issues with DA2, even Uncharted 2 wasn't perfect but I still love playing it to this day. We take what we can get. If you want to play what you think is most perfect game in the world, then by all means go find it or make it yourself. It's much more productive than ranting like I am right now.

I also believe it will involve Morrigan's child, but then again, not everyone chose that option back in DAO

So? Not everyone allowed Lelliana to live in DAO, yet they didn't bother to sledgehammer her into DA:RtP.

At this point, I kinda just hope it's made.

I know, I know, more fearmongering from me. I'll just go sit in a corner, now.

I'm hoping for no more reused area and for the game to actually be play tested. Also, a larger amount of spells, duel wielding as a warrior tree and the return of skills.

If there is a DA3 my hope would be to play my Warden again. Otherwise I'll loose interest pretty quickly, again.

My hopes for DA3?

I would ask that BioWare completely ignore these forums and suggestions from users in regard to content. I'm serious! I believe that BW has a clear idea of where they're going with this story, and I don't think we should have any influence in that aspect. BW, please stick to your guns, and ignore the peanut gallery on this one. Gameplay is another thing entirely, which I think does warrant user input.

About the story, I hope there are lots of LOST-esque surprises, twists and turns, and gut-wrenching moments. Make us care about the characters, and feel their pain. One of my favorite things about DAO was that a slight change in my actions did feel like it made a difference. (I'm not about to go into a rant here, as it's outside the scope of my point). I loved during the Paragon of Her Kind quest, discovering on my 5th playthrough that I could shift alliances between Bhelen and Harrowmont. Not sure why it took so long to figure that out, but it was a nice little surprise, and there was an abundance of those unexpected surprises throughout.

I hope there will be a return of the voiced protagonist. If the goal is to make a game feel more "real", this adds a lot to the experience.

I hope to get resolution on the outcomes of the characters I've grown to love and miss from the first two installments. I hope for a cliffhanger or two.

In short, I hope for really good writing and character development (and interaction); a game that feels like the developers were allowed to put their hearts and souls into it.

And P.S. I hope Cullen will be a LI in DA3. <3

That it will be an RPG.

Sadly, I think there's almost no hope of this.

I hope that DA3 will take place only in one castle, and all the exploration is taken away. I really hated how it took almost 30mins to explore all the areas in DA2.

The character customization was also too complex. I want it to be simple, you pick one of three classes and thats it, the game handles the rest.

Battles were nice in DA2 but too hard. I want to see just dice roll and that shows if I won and how much damage I took and the exp ammount I got,

The excess armor swapping was annoying. The main character should have just one set of armor from start to end and you just level it. Same with party members but take away the armor mods they get, finding them all was pain in the ass and ruined the fast action.

The emotion wheel has to go off and replace it with only two options, "Yes" and "Kill", and in some rare cases have third that says "AWESOME!!"

Tell the story in small parts and sell it to us as DLC, there is really no reason us to see the whole story in one package. Also DA3 has to start at the end so we know that something awesome is going to happen and we just then walk right to it, this is why it all happens in one castle.

I think that covers all of my wants

A game with a 3 year development cycle.
A game with DA:O's core RPG elements.
A game with DA2's great skill and combat system.
A game with no swooping.
A game with as much love put into it as any other Bioware game other than DA2.

I hope that the decisions that I made in DA2 will finally have some meaning when I import my save game into DA 3.

I would like to see puzzles and a map flow more like Origins. I did not like how DA2 was centered in Kirkwall and there weren't that many other places to explore like in the first game.

If you're going to keep the one button attack for the combat, please, please, please give the console games an auto-attack option.

I hope the intro in DA3 tells you that Varric was lying and DA2 never happend. And if you play the game you see they removed everything from the DA2 "features" and make a real RPG again.

But im kinda sure i will be playing Skyrim then DA3 is released. Its still a half year away! Enaught time for EA to milk the cash cow more with another Medicore Hack/slay Game with no depth, story and the name Dragon Age.

Ah, yes... The " Bobby Ewing didn't really die, Pam only dreamed it" option. :bandit:
