*Please no spoilers*I just got to Redcliffe again for the final battle and the darkspawn in the village are dying way too easily. Just about every enemy short of Alphas are falling after one normal attack from my rogue or by wandering into Morrigan's tempest attack. So is this a bug or am I supposed to be way too powerful at lvl 19?
Darkspawn baddies in the final battle are pushovers?

You will encounter a substantial number of deliberately weak darkspawn. It's not a bug.

I kinda suck at combat in games in general, and I found the darkspawn largely easy to defeat all throughout the game.

It's the darkspawn version of the Inverse Ninja Law.
Also, you'll notice most of them are "Grunts".

Ok if y'all say so. Its just that I haven't encountered an enemy so weak throughout the entire game. I just hope the end of the game is satisfying...

It is. For starters, there are no Ogre Grunts.
Also, you get to command squads of each army you recruited once you enter Denerim.

By this time, you are a Grey Warden who is an expert at killing darkspawn.
Nothing less than an Alpha should even be a remote threat.
If grunts are still hard to defeat, how do you ever expect to slay the Archdemon? Cuz... he be surrounded by teh Horde 24/7...

Awesome. <sarcasm<
I said no spoilers, remember?
Also in response to the last post I fought some darkspawn on the road just before reaching Redcliffe and they weren't nearly this easy. It seems like the darkspawn in Redcliffe Village were intentionally dwarfed, even more so then enemies are dwarfed during solo stints in the game.

By the end of the game, you're practically a demigod of awesomness. you've finally reached the rank of ultimate warrior just like every RPG imaginable. Too bad you can die since killing the Archdemon will destroy your soul unless you sleep with Morrigan in a dark ritual to give birth to a baby with the soul of the Archdemon which allows you to live.

I'm guessing because your so close to the end of the game they don't want to be a pain and make you slog through a ton of tough enemies.

I just got to the point he spoiled... I assumed that he was just spewing random words because it didn't make a whole lot of sense before Morrigan approached me with the possibility. Anyway now that I know it is real, yeah, total dick move.
