Every time I do the intro part I all ways wished Kip would be in the fighting part of the attack. LOL I can see him with a short sword beating up them evil folks and tossing random stolen potions at them.
Don't know why, but yah every time my annoying best friend says, "wake up we are being attacked." I wish the little kid was there too.
Specialy after doing a Drow start up recently. It's the best convo they have cause of his race.
So what are some other chars you wished could of joined your party?
NPC's you wished stayed in your paty or was in your part?

I felt badly about Amie's fate in the OC. I wasn't able to address that directly in the OC Makeover as I was with Shandra, but I did develop a way to change Amie's fate in the MotB Makeover and then allowed using her as a companion. She makes a pretty good Arcane Scholar of Candlekeep.

Agreed about Amie.
On the other hand, I'd really like to NOT have Zjhaeve in my party.

Ulip.
He reminds me of a couple snide, subhuman squire/henchman type npcs I've afflicted players with in p&p games I ran.
He was Maggot (dwarf squire) in Pendragon; Kusai (shikome valet) in Legend of Five Rings.
I also used Kusai as a deep gnome rogue in multiplayer NWN years ago.
Give (me) Ulip.

I also agree about Amie.
I don't like Neeshka much, although I like her conversations, she doesn't have any benefits other than disarming traps and picking locks. With some effort I prefer to raise my own open lock skill and leave leave her at the Inn. Same for Zjhaeve (know this know that...) I prefer to use Elanee as my party healer.

I... I... miss Shandraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :_( buhuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! sigh!
I hated her since the moment she joined the party (I can't stand the "you can't get rid of her" thing!), so knowing she would have dead quickly, I had just patience about that. But as the moment of her death was approaching, I started feeling sadder and sadder. Today I just loaded an old save-file and seeing her made me so sad :-(
So, give me back Shandra. Even if she's annoying! :-)
I second what Soresu said: I raised my open locks and disable traps skills, so I can get rid of Neeshka... and I am cleric, so, no need for Zjhaeve or Elanee... other extremely annoying characters!

OC Makeover SoZ Edition offered a means of saving Shandra and continuing her use through to the end of the OC.
MotB Makeover SoZ Edition allows Shandra, Amie, Neeshka, Casavir, and Ammon Jerro to be additional companions.

Yes. They are linked in my signature. They require MotB and SoZ. They are compatible with Tony K's AI and Kaedrin's PrC pack although there are a few features that Kaedrin's scripts interfere with. Compatibility with other mods that alter event scripts or companion conversations such as the Romance pack (which I understand you are a fan of) are untested and unlikely since they probably change some of the same conversations I did.

Forced characters are one of my beefs, as well.

I agree, but the companions in the OC and MotB were designed to be integral to the plot, so they have to be in your party and they have to be alive. I'm glad SoZ didn't suffer from this problem. Much as I wanted to my Makeovers do not try to make the companions optional since that would have introduced far too many bugs.

I always found Amie death a shame but in general I thought there were too many npc's in the OC. There are several I would have swapped to have the remainder better written. The gith is one for sure.

Indeed. Forcing party members was one of the worst things about the campaign. There was no logical reason to keep Bishop and Grobnar in particular. Even Qara at least had a token reason for bringing her along.
As for NPCs I wish were in my party...
Kana is a given. She had so much potential. A shame Obsidian left so much of her content on the cutting room floor. I wanted to learn more about her "Way" philosophy. She also would have been a nice alternative to Khelgar's chaotic behavior and Casavir's goody two-shoes moralizing. Another pick is Torio Claven. She could have made a good alternative to Neeshka. Except I picture her as a ranged weapon rogue. After the trial her content drops to almost zero. Total waste of a character after all the early screen time she had.
Shandra is the last pick. Much as I liked Ammon Jerro and her heroic sacrifice, she felt the most human. That made her stand out.

@ Kaldor: thank you very much! As soon as I'll find the time to install SoZ, I will surely download :-)
Do you mind if I send you a PM with some mod-related questions? I'm learning and there are so many things I don't know...

Sir Edmund was very amusing and would have made an excellent alternative to Bishop.

I would have loved to keep Slaan. despite the fact he was a lizardfolk, he wasn't a bad fighter, and i'm sure converstations with him would have been very intresting. You know, seeing the lizardfolk side of things as their driven farther and farther away from their homes would have been pretty cool to know about. Don't know why everybody hates Grobnar. He's one of the few charecters you can geniunely laugh at. Construct has to be one of my favorites though

I would of loved to have keep Slaan too, though I would of upped his shortswords to long over time as he keep the dual welding style.
