Hey guys,

We are looking for someone with PrC experience to aid in integrating and developing it into a Persistant World that we aim to be ready for launch (With PrC included) by the beginning of June. We are very committed to the project and have a development team of around eight people currently. If you have any experience in this area and are happy to offer your time to help us we would grately appreciate it and would provide you with a permanent staff position in our world,

Please email jeffers113@gmail.com if you are interested. We will look to fill the post asap so it is first come, first served,

Valentine.

Good luck. Seriously. There are precious few who will throw themselves into that as it is a huge amount of work, testing, and balancing. Speaking as the guy that got roped into working with it on another server. :)

...and I'm not even handling the implementation. *shudder*

You mean someone with making his own prestige classes (PrC) experienced or you mean Players Resorces Consortium pack?

Whoops. I totally misread that. You're right, looks like they are after PrC (prestige class) as opposed to the PRC. Which is also a lot of work, but I digress. My mistake!

The exact thing we need help with is Player Resource Consortium implementation and adjustment. Right now we are not sure whether the best step is to include all of the PrC contents and then strip out what we don't need, or simply include custom haks of what we want and build up slowly. We know what we want and what we don't, just not how to implement it.

It is...kind of hard to pick apart. Speaking from experience, many of the scripts and pieces are tied together so removing one could cause issues for a dozen others.

The best way I know of (and way we are doing it) is including the whole PRC (people can download the standard PRC and will require a small hak to adjust it) and you can adjust the 2da files and similar to block options you don't want players to have. In some cases this is very easy (races, classes, feats), in others not so much (skills, spells). You include these updated files in a top hak that overwrites the others. That said, we haven't got to full on testing or error testing yet.

If you want an idea how this is done, take a peek at the thread called Player Resource Compendium on this forum in the Custom Content section. It's the thread I started and Alex Warren and a few others have been guiding me along. It might answer some of your questions.

Right, as Aleron said - it's easier to add whole pack and than disable unwanted options than extract things from PRC.

If you had any questions you can catch here, on PRC forums (xwarren there) or on MSN (I don't use that a lot, so we'll have to arrange a meeting or sth).

I don't know everything about PRC Pack but I have a lot of experience with it ;)
